And at the same time retaining the HD view and smoothness in touching the screen. At least that's what my glass sp does and I am loving it 😆 |

The guy gave me a brand-less one I think :/ the packaging only states the name 'Glass' lol.
Luckily I have no issues with this glass sp. This post has been edited by freddyngch: Apr 29 2014, 10:04 PM |

QUOTE(Xirality @ Apr 29 2014, 10:07 PM) For me, it's better to buy cheap glass SP than expensive one. At least not heartache when it smashed or change to new one. actually i think tats just the bad experience with nilkin, it's supposed to be slightly better than brandless (even with the clear/matte type) but still not as good as Benks screen protectoreven nilkin backcase is rough as well. used to like Rock backcase but these days they keep coming out with gaudy colors This post has been edited by pohsze: Apr 29 2014, 10:30 PM |

QUOTE(derravile @ Apr 29 2014, 02:55 PM) been using the smartband for bout 2 weeks, initially alway gets disconnected even at close range Yes the disconnect problem is kinda weird as I experience the same problem as well ... Very randomly it will get disconnected but easily connected back by touching it to the phone with NFC .... Lesser on the new firmwareafter the update, it seems better but still get disconnect sometimes i am only wondering how it can track calories burn and running and walking time in a day sure walk for than 30mins, however my daily walking time is only like 10mins? pedometer is also not always up to date might require a few refresh before showing up Updates are happening without any problems for me... But you must remember that it will only update when you open up the lifelog app ... It will not update in the background . The pedometer count of steps are pretty accurate for me ... Especially comparing the step count on the fitbit and the smartband ... And I believe they track the walk/run based on how violently you move your arm since walking is normally slower pace compared to running This post has been edited by sookk: Apr 30 2014, 07:19 AM |

i am using nilkin glass sp. so far satisfied with it. not to say fingerprint-proof, but fingerprint resistant and it's much easier to wipe off any fingerprint.

That's a good deal ... where you got that from?Even if it gets disconnected, its not a problem. Remember that the SmartBand stores data offline (not connected to phone) for up to 2 weeks before it starts over-writing older data. |

Most pedometers function on the basis of 3-axis accelerometer to detect motion of your arm (or depends on where you wear the device). Some devices like the FitBit Force (which has stopped selling due to irritation of skin of the users due to their rubber strap) has built in altimeter as well (to detect going up and down stairs).any idea how it decides light and deep sleep as well? seems totally random to me You can read more about the 3-axis accelerometer at FitBit website (most pedometer work the same way): https://help.fitbit.com/customer/portal/art...er-count-steps- » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So as you can see .. it's not foolproof in the way it detects a step. You can be sitting down on the chair and swinging your arms ... it might still be counted as steps. The count is only an estimate of the actual steps you take in a day .. don't be too judgemental on the step count (just as a guideline) since it is said that you need to walk 10k steps a day to be healthy As for the sleep tracker of light and deep sleep ... no idea how it works. Probably how much you move around during sleep. The problem is that Sony website has a whitepaper on the SmartBand SWR10 (http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/swr10/whitepaper_swr10_smartbandswr10.pdf) but the whitepaper doesn't contain any technical information on how the device track steps and sleep.... I also tried checking their developer website: http://developer.sonymobile.com/ ... no help there as well.... |

long time no post here. i'll start off with some complaint for 4.4, i believe most people also same problem as me
- camera slow to launch (i heard this is general kitkat problem, nothing to do with sony fw) - camera might crash after several shots, error msg : camera not available - sometimes i press back key to exit an app, camera will launch, then close again (i think this is problem with fb app, bcoz i din experience it with other app) - sometimes phone just randomly hang and reboot other than that the fw still considered ok to me. smooth, and the camera quality seems got improvement over previous fw. btw those using SW2, there's new fw available as well. you can edit watch faces yourself now ![]() |

The widgets that you can add to the SmartWatch is a great addition ... hopefully we will see more apps making use of the customizable watch face ...
Recently the Walkman Extension have been added ... |

RM 309 and 299 also have .... making this one of the cheaper activity tracker on the market compared to Fitbit and UP (and definitely Nike)http://www.superbuy.my/shop/sony-smartwear...rranty/p/242194 |
