when I charge using wireless charger the temp goes over 40 degress and then show me overheat. didn't gace this problem with stock kernel

There is no definite answer. We can recommend you kernels and you test it out for your usage.

i see, i long time using franco from my nexus 4 until to my nexus 5. want to try other kernel, but not sure which one to start

the files displays themselves after i rebooted my phone. weird

Slimkat + Faux 011u-r2 gives 0.5%/hr through my sleep with wifi connected, whatsapp n fb on (though I didn't recieve any notifications)

Agreed. Been switch around above mentioned kernels. All seems to have similar result on my N5. Most likely had to give them some more time to further optimized.
Currently stick to elementalx because it has aroma installer option. Save me trouble to setup s2w/s2s, UV, color profile, temp limit etc, which normally need one or more apps to configure.

My sister got her nexus at the same time as me. We bought from the same place, same colour (red), my wife is also using the same phone

Battery life for me and wife = sot 2.5-3hrs+, total about 15 hrs ,sometimes less

My sister who lives in Singapore, gets 4hrs to 5 hrs of sot on a daily basis with 15 to 16 hours total

So the poor bbattery life must be due to our signal!!! Coz last time on note 2, mine lasts one day. Hers lasts 2 full days!

Radio signal does affect battery life. In area with weaker signal, your phone will bump up receiver power in order to amplify signal.

Well I never get a full bar of signal

I average 1 or 2 in my house, and max 2 in my clinic

Sure all above are OFF. They were draining battery like hell. Only used whenever needed.

Anyone here have the problem where the cell will randomly turn to emergency only and can't accept calls?
My brother's nexus 5 had that problem where it will be no signal and emergency call only for 1 minute then it goes to 2-3 bar the other minute at home.

Bought it at directd, wondering whether its a bug for nexus 5 since i saw some sites saying there's this bug. or is it a hardware problem..

Yes I encounter this issue with stock rom. All the sudden no signal. Need to restart the phone then it will come back (happens randomly). I am not sure if its the radio signal or bug or what. Currently flashing to slimkat. Hopefully custom rom solves this issue

I dont remember, can you transfer files when in bootloader mode? If can then you can unlock bootloader, root & install custom rom.

Ah, i dont know where i done wrong
1st i full wipe (dalvik cache, cache, system and data) then flash slimkat follow by slimkat gapp, rebooted, setup, flash elementalx kernel, perform full wipe again
Then i realize it said no os are installed and device are not rooted when i tried to reboot it

elementalx using which version?
