alternatively, suggest you attach your external HDD to any computer within same network, using Plex to play your media. for other files, stop samba server.....

I'm using my D821 Nexus 5 here in Australia but I couldn't use the internet at all. I've already tried the internet setup via the website but to no avail. Even called up the customer line and have them reset the network but the result was the same.

Any idea why? I set to 3G or 4G it's the same. D821 should definitely be compatible with Australia 3G band right..

Thanks for the help but manually configuring it using the settings provided in the website didn't work at all.

Lebara Mobile AU doesn't have any "service" centre thus it's quite difficult, unlike other telco like Vodafone/Telstra/Optus

I may have to switch to Amaysim soon (AUD40 = RM120+ for Unlimited text/call +4GB) and hope the problem doesn't persist.

You mean dpi? Use any explorer with root access. Navigate to /system/build.prop, change ro.sf.lcd_density to how big you want.
Or well, you can google for any dpi changing app. I personally don't need just one app to do a single function.

unfortunately no. it's not design on that way. on the move, either you have good data plan, watching online streaming or more storage internally for maybe few movies only. else, there is expensive solution, wifi mobile hdd (build in battery can last about 7-10 hours).

that's not something new. many ppl already using USB-OTG quite long time ago, specially those device without sdcard support. I'm also using it frequently with my 32GB thumbdrive. and to answer syahpian, I just tested 1TB drive with USB-OTG, not working.

maybe 1TB is too large size, you try find any lower capacity or lower power required external hdd.... share with us afterward, for any finding

Use an SSD, you will get better battery life compare to HDD. Plus its more durable, fall down also wont spoil

My ex Nexus4 can connect through USB-OTG to my Samsung 1TB harddrive n i see no reason why a more advanced N5 is unable to...it could be the cables problem. I have 3 usb-otg cables n only one can connect successfully... SO try with other cables

I have a 1TB Seagate GoFlex. Just tested it and it succesfully mounted with stickmount. Test played some movies as well. But the juice it need to power it
