Let us know if the tpu case on the side will turn yellow or not. I wanted to get that but worried that it will turn yellow over time. I even emailed spigen and they reply saying that it will have discoloration after some time due the material(TPU).

which version of elemental should i flash? some say 0.30 is good, some say 0.31 is good. The developer said future version will be based on 0.30? o.O

My nexus 5 is able to convert my 2 brothers who were iphone users to change to nexus 5, what do you think?

means the battery have some problem. If I were you, i will try to leave it to drain the battery finish then charge again to try.. Not that this might help, but you can try..

does the double tap 2 wake works when you use the power button to toggle off and then theres a notification coming in?
Meaning, i toggle off dt2w through power button, then when theres a msg coming in, can I dt2w to turn on the screen?

Seems like cannot, but duno why i have the impression that it should have..

Elementalx kernel is quite good so far. The double tap 2 wake thing paired with power button toggle is quite good.

Anyone here have the problem where the cell will randomly turn to emergency only and can't accept calls?
My brother's nexus 5 had that problem where it will be no signal and emergency call only for 1 minute then it goes to 2-3 bar the other minute at home.

Bought it at directd, wondering whether its a bug for nexus 5 since i saw some sites saying there's this bug. or is it a hardware problem..

How is your android experience?

Some tips to make your nexus 5 smoother:
Go to Settings>about phone>( keep on tapping on build number until you have developer options), go to settings again and you should have the developer options, go in, scroll down and you should see window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator animation scale, change all to .5x.

Also, you can try changing the select runtime to use art instead of use dalvik.
Your phone will reboot and it will take 10-15minutes to set up your phone.

Since you are coming from ios, i suggest staying stock for awhile to familiar yourself with android 1st before going deeper as stock android is good enough.

Hmm, do let me know whether flashing to custom rom fixed it, but i doubt so cause some ppl flashed stock image again but it didnt fix it.

Anyone else facing this problem? It just randomly no signal and go to emergency call only mode and if i try to call my phone, it straight go into voicemail.

Not sure about that, do note that xposed wont work with art.

Guys, one question: Did you use greenify?? If you use greenify to hibernate the app, it won't show notification as the app is hibernated. The notification or msgs will only come in if you open the app.

On a side note, I do face the problem when I'm in a classroom in my uni. That classroom very weird, i think they have a signal block or something as there wont be any signal when you are in the room. I can only use the uni wifi for internet there and the wifi have the problem too where I will only receive whatsapp msg if i click in the whatsapp app.

Anyway, because i hibernated my facebook messenger app using greenify, I won't receive any notification until i click in the app.

My 2 bro who have used iphone for many years jumped ship to android after using my nexus 5.


Anyway, remember to read op for all the tips and guides.

Anyone here using cruzerlite tpu case? I"m thinking whether is it worth it to buy such a expensive tpu case or just get a cheap tpu case...

Will there be any quality difference?

today duno why my phone suddenly no sound. Had to restart phone only the sound come back.

Not sure whats wrong but anyone using elemtentalx 0.34 facing battery life issue?

not sure leh... Somehow feels like it just drains more battery compare to the previous ones.. before this using .31 and .32 not much problem...Idle time is very good, but sot average at 3.5-4 hours.

Now sot <3...and idle time drain alot too... not sure whats wrong..will have to observe more.
