Notice that this thread is a lot quieter than previous LC thread. Wonder where all the old members go. So far only see 2 old members that I recognise from previous thread.

Many other little things you may not know now. You might want to read up service manual to learn more.

done my 10k km service last week which costed RM69.00 in total.
a. RM39.00 Yamalube Fully Synthetic 4T
b. RM13.00 Oil filter
c. RM17.00 Spark plug NGK R

anyone here using fz150 57mm block etc?
i was quoted RM600.00++ for the upgrade including workmanship
previously the shop said that would be RM800++ in total

then he showed me the next block 62mm, 63mm etc
if my memory serves right, can upgrade lc to 178cc, 182cc or something
there was a lc which already using the 62mm but the sounds will easily kantoied by JPJ

so, he said better just go for the 57mm only

1. does it really produce more power?
really differs/ improve top speed and acceleration?

2. how about the fuel consumption later?
does it really worth the upgrade?

Last time was pretty common and IINM, some minor modification required.
RM550~600 was the standard price. But eventually most modders prefer ceramic blocks for its price, power and reliability.

The bore x stroke calculator can tell the new CC. Remember there's news of LC150 with fuel injection coming to Malaysia.
The sound is probably becoz of aftermarket exhaust. May I suggest you look for LCV2 exhaust, with a bigger exit diameter.

Bigger bore will produce more power, but may be lacking at certain RPM due to the stock head setup.
In the end, may have little benefit.

Fuel consumption depends on tuner. It can be as saving as FZ150i.
I normally prefer to set lean at low to mid RPM, and richer at higher RPM. See fuel map posted by me and Charge-n-Go few pages back.
However, my RGV rarely use until full throttle opening but bike already at 8k RPM top gear... Carb is Mikuni VM20SS.
Looks like your bike beat mine of 2.5L/100km. thumbup.gif Is it city riding?

Please check out front page, there is a link I posted on CV (constant velocity) carb tuning that you can try later. Looking at it, tuning a BS carb can be a more repetitive process compared to VM carb, but the results would justify the effort.
