Different bike same model setting also different. Go find sifu tune for u.

Or u can try from pusing 1/4, 1/2, 3/4...

i just know that screw which located near the intake manifold is FUEL screw. this mikuni bs25 is not for performance but i has good fuel consumption.
i just changed the stock paper air filter to a high flow K&N clone air filter. then i set the carburetor fuel mixture screw (this screw located near the intake manifold) to it's fully close position. i started the bike and set the carburetor idle to 2000-3000 RPM and open the fuel mixture by turning it counter clockwise until i hear the bike revving to it's maximum RPM. it is about 3.5 turns counter clockwise from the fully close position. after that, i added 1.5 more turns from the 3.5 turns position. means 5 turns out. im not sure if my setting now is lean or too lean or rich or too rich.

after oil replacement at 500km, it fell like hard to start need to tune again... is it normal?

bro alexei, i once read about using fully synthetic for wet clutch systems is a bad thing to do. could you please clarify this to me ? because now i'm using petronas synthium moto 10w 50 fully sintetik. but sometimes i use belray 15w 50 semi sintetik with additional of STP oil treatment.

ignore the clutch spring stain.. i spray chain oil on it sweat.gif

A well jetted carb is supposed to be harder to start when it is cold.
When you pull the choke, it will draw more fuel to get it started by burning rich. After warm up liao, then the engine will run smooth. Otherwise, maybe the carb dried up already.

Sometimes, poorly maintained bikes start easy for the wrong reasons.

For my RGV, when it was maintained well, every morning I need to pull the choke, just a bit to rich the fuel. It will run slowly to warm up... and slowly close the choke. Once warmed up, it can fly. FC is 180km per 5 liter and 280km on highway, better than all 4 stroke kapcai except FZ... tsk tsk tsk... Compared to other RGV, morning start one kick, but asap banyak, one tank highway jalan baru 120km.

Hope this explains a bit.
