Any ideas how much LC135 CLUTCH 2012 can be sold or traded in? Planning to trade in for R25.

Recently test ride charge-&-go's bike. Not used to 4 stroke off-throttle jerking. LOL.

Already working for 8 years.Actually it is the budget issue. This is my own money management.I will not quickly buy an expensive thing until my budget is reach. My initial budget is 6+++ and is enough for LC auto clutch but as i started to explore other bike option and found the bike i want and plus those unexpected GST,now i over budget by 1+++.That's why i want to do overtime.
*
Ooh, good financial management eh. At least for me, if want to spend 6k~7k on a bike, really cannot.

One good option last time I saw was an FZ old model, with Leo Vince exhaust bike for 3.5k. Later realized FZ got new model with power upgrade and rear disk brakes. Another one was RM600 for a lot of Yamaha Sports... but lately they're gone.

babylongreeceI don't modify my bikes. I buy them and restore to stock spec so that I can ride them hard.
I don't know a lot about modification so prefer to stay away from it. Lol.

You talk a lot about bike modifications like carburettor setting so I though your bike must be heavily modified. So you change your bike often?.
*
I think I mentioned carb setting, and don't think that is considered as modification. I have zero experience in modding.
I don't change bikes often. First bike second hand Yamaha Sports since 13 years ago still with me, two other bikes also second hands, been about 3 and 5 years each with me.

Mod is definitely is fun when you can see the improvement but i am talking about software modification so mine is free just lost some free time tongue.gif .No way i would do any modification to my bike.Wrong modification could cause unwanted issue and will cause $$$ again and worse my life.
Isn't carburetor modify the bike performance so it should be count also as modification.Just like changing to better exhaust for better output hmm.gif

dont need to too extreme modi lah, use 65mm and high cam. and carb will be nice alrdy. feel motor very light

can we still use the stock exhaust after upgraded to 65mm + high cam + carb?
if JPJ 'tahan', can be 'kantoied' or not?

i have seen a lc using 62mm only + nsr carb + 6 speeds gearbox at a shop but it used standard-look-alike exhaust that produced 'rempit' sound... louder than ninja 250r factory exhaust sweat.gif

Yours can.

Not sure which 6-speed gearbox it is using, but if it's the one I know, it runs at lower ratio than 5-speed. So if using same sprocket set, it will be better at acceleration, but loses some top speed.
- 5-speed: 2.83 to 0.96
- 6-speed: 2.61 to 0.95

haha, thanks for the feedback. I've improved on the throttle thingy. now smoother ride.

by the way, after 4 months of minor tuning, the FC gets so much better. Before that, full tank (3.5L) about 105km, today can reach 135km. Torque curve also improved and engine felt lighter n lighter, but I have no dyno chart to show how much it has improved.

List of minor mods:

exhaust
- change to custom exhaust
- further customize it for 3 more times (on the silencer fibre type and smoothen exhaust tip)
- extra 10km

carb
- increase jet size (pilot 36 --> 38, mainjet 125 --> 126)
- needle to the position 2 (5 positions, position 1 is the most fuel-saving)
- extra 10km

ignition
- change to UMA racing CDI with self-tuned mapping
- install firestorm battery filter
- extra 10km.

engine no change at all. Just to share the importance of fine tuning to fully optimize the engine. Sometimes it's not just about engine and carburetor size. It is how well one can optimize the airflow into and out of engine, with the right air-fuel and ignition.

Isn't the fuel saving mean lean mixture and lean mixture will generate more heat. Will it harm the engine?.
*
lean setting theoretically save fuel, but in real world it may increase FC. The reason is lack of power, and need to open the throttle wider to maintain speed. Besides, it takes longer to accelerate, hence throttle open time increased. If too lean the engine will feel very heavy, lack of response and the FC goes even worse. Harms the engine too.

I think the same goes when engine is running on stoich 14.7, because engine generates most power at richer settings ~13, and that shows in fuel maps. Running at stoich is like how charge described: slow acceleration etc, but overall it is the most fuel saving setting. Some may confuse poor performance to fuel lean.

So, if you want better FC, need to lean out jet needle and main jet settings.
Pilot jet should follow standard setting guide.
