Im absolutely new on android box and not quite a tech savvy guy. Yes about the project cypher, the message cannot connect always popup when I typed th source. Followed their fb and tried install f4mtester still same result.

So based on my experiences owning this devices about 4 days lol:
1. The best support you gonna have is your uncle google and also this thread.
2. Since my top priorities are sports, still figuring the best addons. So far only project cypher can offer HD but somehow I still cant add them. For now ZemTV>Pheonix>Bulldog for me. I cant stream Sports Devil at all. Dont know what the problem.
3. I also found that the latest movies always no HD. I guess it work same as torrent. Need wait a little while to get decent quality.
4. Exodus still the best for me for movies and series. Not fancy Pheonix much as I think Exodus is more user friendly.


You guys can recommend thread/forum for other awesome apps on android box other than kodi?

ya, working with kodi can be very frustrating. esp for beginners.

Im using minix neo u1
Kodi I think jarvis 16. Not sure as now at my workplace.
Apps other than kodi that i tried all are already preinstalled such as popcorn, megabox hd. The only apps I installed are google drive.

Addons for kodi that I installed now are exodus, pheonix, bulldog, zemtv, sports devil.

It seem that i can open the cypher repo link when using my smartphone telco line as i typing this. I already download the plugin in my phone. But when i want to add the source or try open in browser at my tv using unifi it failed. Maybe it has to do with dns setting?

Hmm, choosing a build is more of a personal preference for a certain look. I'm more of an Aeon Nox fellow and so partial to the build "The Beast". It's been my favorite. Occasionally, I try out other builds, but keep returning to it. First YouTube videos on KODI builds, watch a few & notice which particular build(s) you fancy and try it out on your box. If you don't like it, you can always revert back to stock KODI and start over with another build or your manual configurations. Lastly, every build can still be customized to fit your needs. I.e. You can add or remove addons, edit shortcuts, etc.. Of course, you'd have to know how. Usually means spending time in the settings area.

yr device should be able to handle anything kodi - any build, any addon.

u r probably missing some of the fine steps when install from zip. might be useful if u google and watch a couple of youtube videos on the steps.

those addon links cannot be opened on browser. they are meant to be links to download a zip to be extracted within kodi only.

Now confirmed already my hypothesis. Im now at my home during lunch break. Using my smartphone, i can open the repo link if disable my wifi, meaning i using my telco data but i cant open if using unifi wifi. How can i overcome this? Change my router dns?

do u mean u can open the link with kodi on yr phone?

or u open with browser on phone... what do u see?!

Tried Jarvis 16.0 on my mibox 3. Seems better response than earlier builds. My Mibox 3 is configured to install on sd card.

Guys any tutorial on installing KODI on mibox? Had it installed when my girlfriend bought it but now it just crashes everytime she opens up the app. By the way, any channel on KODI for watching hong kong dramas?

Uninstall unnecessary applications, clear apps cache, or use sdcard.

They only prob with Kodi on Mibox is low storage space causing Kodi to crash.

ok, that means the link worked on yr phone, downloaded the script.

(the script does nothing on its own, need to be opened in kodi to activate the addon.)

try again at yr box. likely so happen it worked at the time with yr phone and not the time with yr box.

it has nothing to do with wifi or ethernet or data plan or dns. all u need is a connection and u hv.

MIbox 3 and Jarvis/Kodi

1. Configure mibox to install on sd card
2. Delete all unused applications incl old kodi versions
3. Download from original kodi site for Android -Arm version
4. Copy on micro SD card & insert into mibox 3
5. Use ES explorer to navigate to sd card
6. Install
7. If it does not install download again and repeat.

Using mibox 3 as well but still on 15.2

Does Kodi support Blu-ray menus? I downloaded a Blu-Ray iso but when I played the index file it goes straight to the feature without going to the menu.

Phoenix -> Phoenix Sports ->VC, has great live football in HD by far, the other you aleady have which is Project Chypher but bear in mind, there's even more HD sports channel now on Chypher

Other better quality movies on Kodi, addon are SALTS and Watch 1080p which is user friendly, may want to explore VidTime (formerly Woody in Phoenix) too

I have never liked salts. Exodus is more user friendly

Tried & the link works in KODI.. You have to enter it properly..
Launch KODI - File Manager - Add Source
Type exactly
Enter a source name below like "Cypher"
Done..

Go back to Settings - Install from Zip File - Choose Cypher...


It does but depends on the file structure & naming.. If not done in accordance with KODI's rules, it won't work & KODI will simply initiate direct playback.
