currently using this box, already install kodi but dont know how to add repo or other.
wanna watch hk drama and movie, work and live in manila. cinema either english or tagalog movie. HELP......

yr box is unknown to me but the specs look ok!

for you, the fastest way to get all u need (and more) is to install superbox build.

there is hk, mandarin, korean, english, filipino, thai tv channels/videos.


now, u need to know how to get repos, extract the zips and/or install downloaded zip files.

if u don't know, please google and watch the videos.

this is a must, u cannot skip this primary school kodi 101.


when u know how, download the zip given at post 3788.

get it installed on yr kodi.

hi New to kodi here ,

1. How do I delete the add on listed ? While adding on video->addon , there are more than 1000 of channels.It's really hard to scroll down one by one using down arrow button.
How do I delete them , most of the channel I install all not working , just wanted to remove some from the addon list for easier sorting.

2. How to add a channel video file shortcut below the video bar ? like I want CNN but it's in a sub directory World News -> News -> CNN.

3. How do download video files from kodi for offline watching? which add on I need to install ? and how to set the directory ?

Hello....

1.. You can uninstall an addon, but to modify it's contents, you need to either be extremely skilled in reverse engineering it or the actual addon creator.
2.. Please read a few pages back as this has been answered..
3.. Most addons stream and play the content, not full download and play.. That's the whole point of the experience, not having to wait for a complete download before playback.. There are other ways to completely download content before playing..
4.. First rule of being a KODI newbie is to read and inform yourself, at least the basics.. So get to it.

After trying and trying for cpyher still no solution. Anyone can help?

My problem: Cant add the source http://repo.run/cypherrepo. Message "Couldn't Retrive Directory Information" will come out.

Tried:
Open at browser using laptop with 5ghz band wifi unifi - can open.
Open at browser using smartphone with 5ghz band wifi unifi - sometimes can sometimes cannot.
Open at browser using smartphone using digi data - can open
Open at browser using minix using 2.4ghz band unifi wifi - cannot open.

Done a manual installation but getting error we failed to reach the server.

Can we put subtitle in moviehd and mobdro?

I'm using Rpi 2 [running Kodi with Aeon Nox skin, seems kinda slow]. So, was wondering if it will be worth it to upgrade to Rpi3.

well... u need to understand the architecture of kodi.

.. the reason for the 1000 or 10,000 addons there is becos u had many repos installed and zips extracted (or somebody else did it). so, u either get rid of those repos/zips not needed or start all over and install only the relevant ones that u want. the naked KODI app has less than 100 addons. but it is a challenge to know which addon is in which repo! so, u need to do some googling, watch youtube videos. that way, u avoid unwanted repos and zips.

.. every repo u install has several zips, each with a ton of addons. they are ready but are NOT enabled until u activate them. they do NOT take up space until u enable them.

.. do not get confused - when u want to enable an addon or (program) u got to settings/addons - the whole list is shown for u to enable or disable. during normal viewing, u go to video/my addons - this list show only the ones u enabled.

.. u can do shortcuts for a limited no. of addons under skin settings. you can set favorites for certain channels within an addon. how to do that depends on yr device - can be right mouse click or some button (like "menu") on yr remote to bring up the menu.

in summary... KODI is not the easiest app for any new user. need time, patience, googling, youtube to grasp the principles. once u get it, it is the same for all addons, plugins and builds. later, u can start to try to tweak video/audio options, do yr own advanced settings and xml's, do backups, quick reinstall with last saved copy of org.xbmc.kodi, etc. spend time, try, try, try... takes everyone a while to get it.

finally, KODI is not for grandpas and grandmas.

Hi all, recently something wrong with streaming movies. The movie just quit itself after about 10 minutes of streaming. I've tried using exodus and also velocity, both happens the same.

My internet is fine. Movie starts without buffering. It just quit after about 10min then I click resume to that plat time, then about another 10 min it quits again.

P.S I've cleared kodi cache and it's still the same.

Sifu sifu please shed some light on this issue.

What AVFAN says + READ!!!!. The sooner you understand the basics, the easier it gets... The basic guide for newbies is this thread or the official KODI forum... If you had gone back just 2 pages, you would have bumped into posts regarding KODI Skins... So go as far back as possible, clear your schedule and begin... There will be profit.

likely due to buffering issues, esp for hd videos of certain links.

try other links in phoenix and other sources.
