folks - is there expensive type HDMI cables out there? Does it make any difference compare to the ones we get free with Unifi OR audio/video components we purchase.

Not sure but some pals of mine asking me to get good branded (costly) type HDMI cables rather then using the free ones.

Let me check bro, I only experienced some buffering last night on few channels. Will check again. Btw have you done network buffering settings in your advancedsettings.xml? Though they don't impact much on live channels but still good to have.

If you have limited space in your media player i.e. 8GB/16gb you can add the following lines in your advancedsettings.xml, on my RPI 2 and Amazon FireTV i'm using this

  <network>
    <buffermode>1</buffermode>
    <cachemembuffersize>157286400</cachemembuffersize>
    <readbufferfactor>20</readbufferfactor>
  </network>

or if you are using Kodi on a PC or on a device with huge storage i.e few 100gbs  then you can add the following lines

On my HTPC i'm using this

  <network>
    <buffermode>1</buffermode>
    <cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
    <readbufferfactor>10</readbufferfactor>
  </network>

But i have finalised the above two settings after changing and testing different parameters and works like a charm for me now... On my HTPC sometime whole movie is downloaded and buffered even before i reach halfway.

Yes, for Renegade , just select one of the Channels that doesn't work and an option window will open. Select the addon stream you want to add from and replace (e.g IPTV Stalker), and all the links for IPTV Stalker will appear, e.g MUTV, ASS 1-3 etc, then you can choose and preview the particular stream (to see if it works) first before clicking 'Save'.

From then on, whenever you click on that Channel , it will load the new stream from IPTV Stalker you just saved.

Contrary to that, Renegade still has the list of IPTV Stalker (if that's what you mean by IPTV) channels visible, for you to add to Renegade. Maybe they kept the Stalker links in their database.

For those who want to revive IPTV Stalker Channels for free, install the Ivue TV Guide program. You should select it to specifically load IPTV Stalker channels only. Most of the Channels are working out of the box with EPG (some info not accurate). No much need for any further adding or selecting channel streams from addons.

But you have to search and download the program yourself. The instructions might differ on the installation procedure because the contents of the zip file might have been changed after the instructions. So you have to figure out yourself.

You can now discard 'Renegades'  and use 'IVue' instead if you are interested in IPTV Stalker Channels only. ASS 1-3, MUTV, Discovery Channels...and most others, work out of the Box without intervention

Note - Just like 'Renegades' , IVue can be a bit unstable sometimes on my Isengard 15.0 Beta especially when browsing and testing too many channels.

Guys is it me or there's still some serious problem with Unify? I have not been able to stream any movie smooth since i guess last week.

When I was using VIP10 no problem at all for TVAPP
Upgraded to 30MBS now to enjoy more lag free streaming on others like XBMC etc

vip5 = 5mbps or 625Kbps should be OK if it is dedicated.

tvapp is all hd, will need 300-400Kbps.

considering stability, other users drawing bandwidth, wifi losses, >8mbps will be safe.

i had 10mbos, now 30mbps, always smooth all the time, anytime.

What I am after are daily Msian chinese news report (the ones at 6 or 8 pm).

Are these the ones you are referring to?

Which channel/addon can watch HK (VOD not live tv) drama/movies?
I dont think Genesis or others got cantonese movies right?

Started to mingle around with kodi yesterday.. managed to get iptv stalker workig with some tweaks. Able to watch astro supersports and sky sports @ 720p quality. Awesome.
