Upgraded here and everything runs smoothly as expected. No broken addons etc. Probably because I was running the RC2 and RC1 versions before that.

RPI2 does support Digital Audio over HDMI and does support Passthrough for DD & DTS. However it doesn't support HD-Audio. I have tested it by connecting with me AVR and it works perfectly fine.
*
My current setup

1. RPI2 HDMI to TV
2. My HT RCA audio cable to TV
When I play 5.1 movie, no sound. Anything I'm missing?

Last time when I used a mediabox, I will connect a optical cable from HT to my mediabox and can play out 5.1.
But since RPI2 don't have the optical port so I couldn't connect it. Any other way?

for me navi-X sucks...there are better AddOns out there for movies and etc. Maybe you are looking for something else in Navi  brows.gif

You can also check-out the following site for Addons recommendation;
1. http://kodicommunity.com/
2. http://koditips.com/

My setup a bit complicated and try to explain as much as possible.

1. For me, ONLY weekends I connect my Rpi2 to AVR Denon and for the rest of the weeks it's directly connected to my 60inch TV via HDMI.
2. My TV has 2 HDMI Ports - 1 HDMI cable connected to Rpi2 and the other one connected to my AVR in the output HDMI port.
3. My AVR has 5 HDMI ports. So one of the HDMI ports is reserved for my Rpi2 (I have a HDMI cable connected to the reserved Rpi2 port on the AVR and on the weekends I simply connect the other end of the cable to Rpi2. The direct connection from the TV will be unplugged.
4. when comes weekends, my neighborhood is blasted with the sound from my 5.1 big ass speakers setup rclxm9.gif

ciao!

Kodians,

Quick question....when I am browsing through the many many pages inside Genesis. Say inside Movies - Genre - Action....I am in page 10 of 50....how do I go back to the first page or Movies page with a click?

Currently i would have to click back 10 times just to get back. A real pain!

Using the cheap remote i bought recently...forgot what name.

Probably because raspberry pi 2 is cheap, easily configurable and has lots of support from open source community. I used Raspberry Pi 1 before, then when Raspberry Pi 2 came out, I immediately bought two! That's how good Raspberry Pi is!

depends on what OS you will be using.

If XBMX/KODI... should be rpi2 the best currently.

Thinking to get two rpi2 but our currency... haihs... doh.gif

Bro,
You not going to review rii? Coz design wise rii is more better. U got do bulk purchase? Coz im interested to get one of these 2 in 1 remote.
*
Bro now i don't think so i will test the RII, i thought about it, even if RII is better i don't think so it's worth to pay the extra difference if i compare price of both. In the seller interest i won't disclose the price at which i got Mele but let's just say a difference of RM40++ is not really worth spending what extra RII could offer and as i said on RPI only 1 button not working and on Intel Platform even that one is working...
So you tell me would you really pay RM40+++ extra for RII??? wink.gif Especially when whole premise of talking about RPI is building stuff cheaper wink.gif

what broadband speed do u hv?

u never get the max speed. plus the connectivity can be unstable.

on top of that, there can be geoblocks, bad sites, etc.

Let me understand this when you say HT means (Home Theatre is those HITBs, Home Theatre in a box?) and not those with AVR and Separate Speakers??? Cuz from what you stated this is what i think is the case...
What most of us are doing is connecting our RPI to AVR through HDMI and then AVR to TV and that's how you get more than 2 channel sound.

Well this has been discussed in detail in earlier post, if you just go back few pages and look for my posts you will find i have explained in quite detail PROS/CONS of Android boxes and RPI2.
In a nutshell for Kodi RPI2 is far better than any Android Box but it's only if using Kodi is your only requirement.
