yah la..quite expensive.. thing is i got this cheapo so called basikal lipat jepun. it s a steel. comfortable riding. got absorber front, seat. but the main prob is of course the speed, gear. + quite heavy aso. but riding wise - is classic! ...
how bout 2nd hand crankset, FD & RD .then who knows? maybe RM300.
--TRINX, XDS, JAVA - they re like B group of foldie brand rite? compare to dahon, tern, khs. or are they more reliable..good clamping mechanism new model now?

oh,didnt know u owning halfcut bike.few of ipoh foldies members also using halfcut bike..

anyway,the cheapest way they implement it changing the crank without fd and shifter.still save cost and better gearing lah.. i got 1 friend already climb up bukit berapit with only 6 speed gearing from his halfcut bike

i got 2 friend bought dahon bordwalk d7 from "halfcut".one pay for rm120 and 1 more rm280.both already used the boardwalk.one refurbish the bike and one more rebuilt the bike since he got many spareparts..

still,its a good deal as boardwalk are CrMo steel and the toughest steel besides titanium.. worth it la bro,but very hard to find lah nowdays!

still counting my cent to my next 3rd bike or sell my wife s karat bike make some money summore haha.. the 3rd one will be like lamborghini. look fast,young, dangerous... but ride slow, slow as siput... enjoy the views, the scenery and life. backpackers with lipat

shah alam also can maa,..just start 1st then the crowd will come later.we all start in a small group 1st,then people will notice until now

btw,
the best and effective upgrade is ur crank.from 6speed u can get 12speed or 18speed only from crank.but if u upgrade only the casette,u only get from 6 to 10 max...so why bother to get the casette?

the link above sell crank for only rm70.u can get 18speed with the crank.for me its worth it lah event without fd,its not a big matter to me.i already using shimano sora 50/34 on my vybe without fd.already achieve to climb bukit berapit (up north and down south) without "sorong" the bike with those cranks (on the way to taiping with 50-32 and on the way back cannot tahan already with gear setup 34-21)

p/s :- sorry,i didnt mean for show off,but its a good & true fact when upgrading ur crank will give u better gearings
