To Bro Gen-X,

I just collect my MBB2 Premier.

Pledge using FD promo rate of 4% upfront, seems like MBB doesn't really stick to pledge FD using base rate.

Have a look in FD thread.

It's FD-i (Islamic) , interest is paid out upfront upon placement.

If you read thru few pages in front, actually some of the members did it.
I am just merely following their footsteps and verify that it works.

Hi kinabalu smile.gif

I had read through several earlier posts and have better understanding on pledging fd for cc.

Just to clarify one thing, did you inform mbb your intention before commit to fixed deposit, or put money into fixed deposit account then proceed nego with mbb staff?

Some forumers had mentioned that they did went through unhappy application process when they reveal their intention to mbb staff before fixed deposit. Just curious if it works if i do it the other way round. hmm.gif

I already have MBB FD long time ago, just use existing to pledge. MBB CS are very helpful to me. No bad experience to me.

Called up maybank CS last night to check my application status after 3weeks of sending all the documents via email. Good news is the CS told me I only have to pledge 5k fd to get this credit card approve. And the bank has actually sent a letter to my house and the branch to inform about the FD pledge. The CS also said after I pledge Fd, just link the Fd with the credit card then my card will be approved. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
