After i read through all the post, conclusion is it will be faster to get application status if we apply in card centre rather than branch. Currently holding MBB2Card gold. Now working in Singapore, so i think it will be easier for me to achieve 80k spending and collect TP as my spending is in SGD

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Dec 22 2014, 10:13 PM) are you prepare to have exchange rate 2.70 and above? Thanks for ur reply. I'm just looking for enrich miles or krisflyer. Won't go for any voucher.if you change money at money changer from SGD to MYR, the best rate now is 2.63 you still to fork out 0.07++ every RM1... RM80k mean you will fork out RM5600 for only 400000 TP you need to calculate whether will it worth it for the TPs.. if you convert to Enrich Miles, then still worth abit... but if you exchange for voucher, i don't think it will be much worth compare to you getting a CC in Singapore.. Just one question, if let say I ask the merchandise to quote in sgd, the bill will still reflect as rm right? |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Dec 22 2014, 10:13 PM) are you prepare to have exchange rate 2.70 and above? Hmm.. after consideration, Ambank WMC would be another good option instead of Premier2, as WMC forex exchange rate & the charge are better. However, the conversion rate for Enrich point is 5TP to 1Enrich compared with 4.5TP to 1Enrich for Premier2. if you change money at money changer from SGD to MYR, the best rate now is 2.63 you still to fork out 0.07++ every RM1... Something to consider... |

QUOTE(Visualize @ Dec 31 2014, 06:15 PM) Just received both cards yesterday. Applied at Gardens Centre with documents and approved after 2 days. Overall a smooth and fast process considering its a new application. Just sent my application this morning through email. Wonder if JB card centre will be as fast as those in OneU or The gardens... If yes, i will try to go there next week for faster response. Hope they extend the Starwood privileges as I regularly dine there too. New cards for a new year |

Called up maybank CS last night to check my application status after 3weeks of sending all the documents via email. Good news is the CS told me I only have to pledge 5k fd to get this credit card approve. And the bank has actually sent a letter to my house and the branch to inform about the FD pledge. The CS also said after I pledge Fd, just link the Fd with the credit card then my card will be approved.

QUOTE(JC_jun @ Jan 29 2015, 06:26 PM) update my application Congrats! 13-January - submit all application required documents 20-January - bank approved my request to apply card with FD 28-January - i received the letter 29-January - bringing the letter to maybank branch, tell them i want to pledge FD for credit card so far process quite smooth, only the approval letter they use normal post so i arrive at my house after a week. I need to pay RM10 for stamp duty because i pledge the FD against credit card. i got the latest islamic FD promotion, 4.13% p.a. this is how they calculate: months rate 3 3.38% 3 3.58% 4 3.78% 1 5.28% 1 8.28% so if we divide the rate into month, and add up together will get 4.13% as return, but actually the effective return is slightly higher: 4.1969% meaning to say, if you deposit RM10k, after 12 months will get RM419.69 as total interest. But this 1 is not upfront interest. |

Saw gen xyz bro's blogspot, he mentioned that M2Premier card TP still maintain 4500TP vs 1000 Enrich Miles. So that are good news indeed to us who got the M2Premier card.

Just got my Premier 2 card approved yesterday after so many months of following up. Fuuuu.. Yesterday called to Maybank hotline and inform them i need the card urgently as i'm flying off next week. Maybank staff passed my line to Premier line and the staff asked me not too worry as i probably can get it by Friday or saturday. Today, i called again to followup and what surprised me is, the card already at MBB JB Main branch ready for collection. Deserved a clap.
