Finally i think i want to send my htc one to service centre to repair the purple tint issue. Have some questions;

1. Which is better (and faster), sent to BTS or Kelana Jaya?
2. Do i just walk in or need to send email / call to make appointment first?
3. Should i delete all my personal data from the phone before sending in? This will be quite a hassle as i have many data on my phone. I wish there is a way to just "hide" or protect the data without having to delete (and later restore) them.

planning on buying a second hand, got any advice other than checking *#*#3424#*#* and warranty/receipt? Worried about purple tint issue, please advice!

1st, check the camera. both camera. than check the speaker and battery life.

1. HTC already cease operation for SC kelana jaya and berjaya plaza.

hi iXora! Thanks for the reply, seller states that have 3 months warranty left but no receipt, only warranty card, can still claim warranty if anything? I've been trying to look for SIS etc HTC service centers, all not in service, where is their current SC? thank you!

EDIT: confirmed with HTC Malaysia already, must need receipt and warranty card.. if not they will track back manufacture date if more than 1 year then no service.. :\

When you looking at your warranty card, there's sis sticker. On sticker you can see the date and also dotted to indicated when your phone is purchase. Dont worry just send your phone. You can always ask the people on SC on your warranty period.

If I buy a used Taiwan set, will HTC Malaysia layan me if/when I send in for repair? I know I'll have to pay repair charges but will they ignore me?

I'm currently using it.
Definitely feels nicer as compared to a plastic screen protector. Hence the price difference.

I called HTC, they insisted on having receipt or warranty card before can accept phone for repair. I said can't they check using IMEI number, they said cannot.

That's odd. I walked in SC without anything but my phone and they accepted it. I've even accompanied a friend before this and he did the same, they accepted his too.

See, you should walk in. the HTC Malaysia is weird because their SC and customer service centre are different entity.

Ya i called the customer service, they ask me to just walk in.

Apparently jz by checking the imei number they can tell whether the phone still under warranty or not. So I guess the Imei is good enough unless there is some dispute.

Btw, anyone send the phone for RMA? do you get a replacement phone? I really dun have a spare phone to use la...
