I think i dont want to upgrade to kitkat yet until they resolve all issues such as wifi issue etc. How do i make the notification reminder to disappear from the notification bar?

HTC One has great speakers when playing movies or mp3 music. But when I receive calls and turn on the speaker, the sound is quite bad. The sound in the speaker for voice calls sounds like mono and not very clear. Do your HTC One suffer from bad speaker sound for voice calls too? Anyone know how to make voice calls to use both speakers and boomsound when activating speakerphone?

Right now my phone is prompting me to update to Kit Kat, but I dont want to update yet (because I read still got some issues not yet resolved, like wifi issues etc). I keep delaying the update by pressing cancel. If I dont update to Kit Kat, and the next version appear, can I skip Kit Kat update and install the next version? Or do I need to install Kit Kat first before I can install the next version?

QUOTE(radi0head @ Mar 26 2014, 07:07 AM) You can skip of course and direct install the new OS but will the HTC ONE getting a new OS after KitKat? By the way, your set is perfect, right? Some forummers mentioned before that after the update, their set got the purple tint issues... hmm... My phone is not perfect, it has the purple tint. I remember i got the purple tint after installing the first software upgrade after purchasing it when the phone first came out.

Finally i think i want to send my htc one to service centre to repair the purple tint issue. Have some questions;
1. Which is better (and faster), sent to BTS or Kelana Jaya? 2. Do i just walk in or need to send email / call to make appointment first? 3. Should i delete all my personal data from the phone before sending in? This will be quite a hassle as i have many data on my phone. I wish there is a way to just "hide" or protect the data without having to delete (and later restore) them.

One of HTC's one killer feature or most outstanding features to me is the text wrap on their web browser and emails. When you pinch to zoom a web page, the text in the web browser (and emails) would automatically wrap on the screen so that we dont have to scroll left and right to view the page, instead we just need to scroll down, which is extremely useful. For some reason, no other phones apart of HTC phones can do this. This really adds to the user experience of using HTC phones.
I read on the net that Google has made some programming changes in KitKat on how text-wrap works on the web browser. To those who has upgraded their phone to KitKat, can you check and confirm if the web browser and email text wrap still works on your HTC one?

QUOTE(HeReLiSm @ May 8 2014, 01:42 PM) Guys, I'm having trouble with my M7. The updates for the 4.20.707.6 keeps popping up. Is there any ways that I can disable this without download the update. I heard the update is still contains some bugs here and there, so I dowan to update at this time. Issit true? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I also choose not to upgrade to KitKat, because in KitKat update, Google has removed the text-wrap feature in web browser, which is one of the most useful features to me in HTC phone. What I do is that I would allow the update to start download, then select cancel. That would make the update go away. Once a while (once every few weeks or once a month) it might pop up again to ask you to update, you can repeat this process to make it go away. I think this is the best that we can do for the time being.

QUOTE(jeffreyp @ May 22 2014, 11:40 AM) I just got my phone fix the green tint, so far Ok but but but becareful u send in, backup everything even ur pics, watapps database, every single thing coz they will flash a custom way that the phone seems new! Is a good thing for ppl have mess up the phone directory coz everything cleared I will monitor the green tint issue I read that if you send your phone to HTC to fix the purple tint issue, the phone will come back fixed but with green tint. How to fix the green tint and get the calibration done? When we collect the phone (after getting the purple tint fixed), do we ask HTC service centre staff to take our phone back for calibration? Or need to go home first, wait till green tint appear and only then send our phone back to HTC for calibration? Can the HTC service centre at level 7 BTS do it, or need to send the phone at a different floor?
