after root u still can receive update notification & download the update but u cant apply the update become it need stock recovery to install the update.

so it's safe to root follow the xda forum?

i follow htconeroot.com.. the steps quite clear cut..

i'm on HTC one m7 latest lolipop 7.21.707.21 , so just follow the step won't shit happen?

And my USB original cable gone , i wonder why the 3rd party USB cable can't detect my phone FILE , should i get original cable in order to root phone?

My M7 went dead out of sudden... blackout without any symptom nor personal negligence (drop etc)... damn~

Any cable will do fine. There is nothing special about HTC cables. I used some generic unbranded cable with it too to flash stuffs

Just wondering, anybody planning to upgrade to another phone this year? What's your choice if I may ask? Personally I kinda gave up on HTC, mainly due to it's after sales service here in Malaysia. Leaning on to Note 5 when it comes out, or maybe S7.
