Hey,

Has anyone having bad battery drain past 2-3 days? I just lost 10% of battery while in airplane mode. I checked battery usage detail, and the phone has been awake constantly, and I can't even use wakelock detector because the permissions changed in 4.4. Google play services seems to be the culprit as I see the time awake matches the time since I disconnected from the charger and it's taking up a much larger portion of the battery usage than usual.

Customer service really good. Did send my phone for purple tint issue, at exactly a week get my phone back. The staff mentioned they changed the camera hardware and so far, my camera perform really good in the dark place. No more purple tint issue. Please noted that now they didn't provide pickup & delivery service anymore. U need to walk-in to the service center to claim for the warranty.
And by the way, does anyone facing a too bright flash issue, especially when taking picture in a very2 dark place? Its so bright until u can't see the original subject matter that u try to capture. I found the solution is by selecting HDR mode on the camera. I'm just curious is there any other way i can take a picture in a very dark place with a flash without need to select HDR mode?

p/s: sorry for my broken english.Hope u guys understand what I mean. Cheers.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi,

Just curious, which service centre did you send your phone to? And did they wipe your files? Thinking of sending my phone but wondering if need to backup everything. Thanks!

Hi Guys, my phone just came bk from service where they also changed my battery as told by them, even though i was just sending in for camera issue.

the problem is i feel like the battery drain super fast. For example, today my phone started at 86% at 10 am. with very little usage(fb a little), with 3g on(no lte) and not connected to wifi, my phone now (3.54pm) is at 30%.

Is this normal? Can you guys share with me ur how's ur battery performance like?

btw, their repair service is super bad, i sent in 3 times, all sort of problems came up and in the end i just live with it, until now seems like got battery problem.

Check your battery history, if the bar for awake is solid, you've got a problem. Try restarting.

Anyone knows which SIS centres are good? Mine is a SIS set with the purple tint issue.

Also, anyone heard anything about the same trade in promotion HTC had last year for the M8?Or if they do have, if they'll accept units with purple tint issue.

Hey,

Do they factory reset your phone when it's sent for warranty claim?

Does anyone have the email for me to escalate my issue? My HTC One originally went for camera warranty claim, when I got it back, the microphone wasn't working.

So I made them send a courier to pick up the phone. They promised me 7 working days can fix the phone, more than a month my phone still processing. Every time I call the CSR will just say will escalate and raise your concern to the service department. Tired of their behaviour and finally lost it with them today.

I want to escalate this already. Any ideas people? Any higher ups I can contact, they're refusing to let me speak to their supervisor as well.

Brought my HTC One to Wisma Kemajuan on 11/08 to fix the purple tint and was told it would be done in 14 working days. Got an email and call on 02/09 saying that it's done repairing, so they overshot by 2 days.

Hmm, the usual nonsense from HTC customer support as what many others have faced. Called 2-3 times a week to check on the repair status and all you will hear is "Your device is still under repair." When you make noise, you get the standard apology and "We will escalate the issue and push harder for you." or "We will make a strong remark in our system." so don't expect more. Just pray hard and wait for that sacred email/phone call. They are polite but can't help much and 9/10 times they won't call you back when they say they will. doh.gif

I did call and email them urgently on the 13th working day to inform that I will be moving overseas in the 2nd week of September (the truth), and my phone was done repairing 2 days later so I don't know if that had any effect in making them hurry their asses up.

In the end I collected my phone today (09/09), after no news from them since 02/09 even though they said they will call me when it's ready to collect. I had to call them myself to check.

But I consider myself really lucky to have my phone back within 1 month, camera works perfectly now and no other defects. rclxm9.gif Other than a lot of scratches on the screen protector.

And there was one male customer support agent, who said he would call me back the next day at 12 pm, and he really did, at 12.02 pm sharp. thumbup.gif Wish I could remember his name!

Hope the new camera holds up because besides the purple tint problem, I really really love my HTC One.

Be sure to check for other issues. Mine came back with microphone issues. Sent it back, and now it came back with an faulty earphone jack.

Check XDA HTC One forum. There's a thread for returning to stock. But you need to get S-OFF. Unfortunately Sunshine is probably the only way for you to gain S-OFF, that costs 25USD. I can vouch for it, I used it successfully.
