To be frank, I believe HTC after sales service is only bad in Malaysia.
Whereas in Singapore, I am quite satisfied with their after sales service.
My HOX experience in SG, no need to show receipt or whatever to claim warranty.
Just call their number, they will send in their man and collect your faulty unit, repair max 5 business days, then they call u and deliver back to u for free.
So what we can do is question HTC Malaysia Facebook and wake up their HTC Malaysia Management.

So far, I haven seen much complains about after sales in SG, Europe, USA, Taiwan, China etc.

Ya agree with you, I have see they having a good service in TW too. Just don't know what happen in Malaysia management. Is it Malaysia is not a good market for HTC so they didn't care about the management in Malaysia? A brand reputation is most value asset but HTC Malaysia seem like not really care about it.

Htc one gold colour is latest batch, no more camera issue

Forgot to update my htc one camera part info. My device camera come with date dec 2013.

Still remember some brother here say their camera part date only show 000000. But mine got show actual date. Neither purple tinted nor pink spot found.

Don't hope, direct action can save u from nightmare.

Please read my old post in this thread, I did share how to read the manufacturer info from device serial number. Keep in mind that October onward manufactured no purple tinted issue.

Since u buy from directd, request serial number before payment. Then u will know yr device got camera issue or not

I've done a full backup via dropbox this morning and later on factory reset.

once factory reset is done. saw 4.4 upgrade and upgrade.

later, click restore and it's not working (maybe issue with 4.3 and 4.4)..

any suggestion?

I totally agree with you on this. Build quality is awesome, its only some parts of the hardware and software (in my case software after the update before Kitkat.

Never lag? hmm I think mine lags due to Swype at times slows down the phone. The occurrence so much less in beta and it was free!! Paid for mine.

a) phone getting outdated (few years time)
b) new model too tempting not to get

I too agree on this, however there are cases overseas cases there will be horror stories, bad experiences and all of us will hear and remember the bad more than the good ones going around.

I didn't really had the push around, no delay after sending my phone back in for the purple issue. Just had to follow up on when I can collect my phone which was promised on time.

So now, I inherit the from the purple to the green tint camera and I aint complaining much until I have to take pictures. Darn gotta send phone in soon. Hope they have a loaner phone as I gave my dad my S3 to use after his phone decide to harakiri itself.

Htc phone quality not bad, but this round camera issue and poor after sales service bring nightmare to many user.

In Taiwan, when consumer claim warranty, htc will immediately replace with new set or refurbished unit. Then their technician got time to repair it and consumer still feel satisfy as within 3 days get their phone back.

In malaysia, the technician group work hard to repair one by one. If confirm fail to do so, just replace by refurbished unit.

This round htc one camera issue make a lot device sent back for repair, so all take turn waiting for three weeks above.

Htc can make consumer happy if they can do like htc Taiwan practice, return to consumer within 3 working days.

I did left this group and but moto g, it's a nice phone. Would like to recommend those want left htc one to consider moto g. It's got two sim slot, quod core snapdragon 1.2 , 2g ram n 16 g storage, price at lazada is around 700 only.

de moto g got 1G RAM and not 2G ya... hehe...

Its not HTC in Malaysia. Its the damned resellers, Brightstar and SiS. Go check to Motorola threads. Or any of the threads where these resellers do the 1st party importing.

HTC does not do the after sales service directly in Malaysia. But of course, indirectly it is their fault for appointing such crappy representatives that tarnish their brand.

It's always nice to see constructive and objective comments among forums.

Anyone have feedback from BTS Brightstar warranty service?
Since SIS closed down already, i not dare to send in my phone for warranty.

My issue: Got pink frame or dotted when taking pic under no light or low light.

This phone send in to SIS for 4 times still got such problem sigh...
