this model is a traveler's compact model.
mktv is surely good, i have tried it.
it is an imgotv or mangotv product which is a legit iptv provider in china.
even with 1/8gb, i think mktv will work fine.

but the problem will be when use larger apps like kodi.
and with a small storage, u won't be able to put a lot of apps.
unless u give up the big ones like kodi.

the other potential problem is when there is a need for a new firmware or a new mktv version.
so, make sure you can get help for that.
the trouble with less popular models is there will be few other users you can share info and tips with.

i actually wish the next himedia premium 2/16gb model will come with mktv instead of imgotv.

seems to me these providers are being pressured to blackout the 2 channels during euro2016 season.

Based off the description, it appears to be a good box to begin with.. Claims smooth playback of 4K 10bit @ 60hz files.. Not bad, pulling that off. Audio-wise, it appears to be lacking, so don't expect HD audio/passthrough tech. Overall, not bad... Do remember to leave a mini-review upon test driven..

Yep , it also occur here , try watching Cctv 5 now , sure alive .But when match start all blackout.
Try to titanium backup dta+apk your hdp and tvplus and reinstall again which latest .apk or restore apk only . I suspect your data was the reason the cache them.

i have enough other sources to watch, no problem.

Good to know , buy my connection wise , SD already happy.On kodi , when match start all buffer . Just hope to find a good apps .Not easy since using streamyx connection , you know the speed and ping ..

Which tvbox are shipped with unroot option ?

Reason , there is an apps which cannot run once it detect root.I just said , cannot run at rooted device.It's a TV stream apps and I am sure a lot of stream apps doesn't allow rooted device to run.
So how does Android tvbox bypass them ? or a way to get it run ? I wanted to run an the streaming apps but it said rooted

i do not know of any dual op sys box. if there is one, it is probably for professional use, costly.



most boxes are unrooted when they are sold due to warranty compliance.

there are apps that say "can't run due to rooted device" - this is false.

i have seen it a couple of times on my unrooted box.

the message is probably a generic one to say it is incompatible or simply the app owner's poor command of english.

get a higher speed!

it is hard to get good stuff with low speed.

during wc2014, i failed to get any reliable stream even with 10mbps - not a single match.

that's when i stopped using kodi (xbmc at that time).

and cctv5 was not in hd then.


now, it's different...

with 30mbps, i have a few channels to watch.

if one fails, i just go to another.

i watch only hd stuff, gave up sd a long time ago.

The Minix Z64W is capable of dual-booting Windows and Android.
Most boxes ship unrooted as default. Actually, there are fewer box models that can be rooted & unrooted at will... So you shouldn't have any problems running such apps on an unrooted device, unless as already suggested.. A poorly designed app giving off a false positive.

Any random box manufacturer can pull off a 2GB RAM + 16GB eMMC storage device running Android. Yet, only a few can deliver on performance and decent support.. IMO, those are my priorities..

No choice , my area still haven't had unifi even added in waiting list more than 3 years
That's why I post here to find an apps which run smooth on streamyx asking here and there , really sorry for the trouble.

that one, it says "can't do, rooted" on my unrooted box and has 1/2 menu (so, can't work) on my unrooted smart tv.

it used to work on the same box with an earlier version; forced to update, then "can't work, rooted...".

it works fine on the ipad.

i think it's just aotg restricting it to certain devices only. same with hypptv.

mobile devices will be ok. boxes and smart tv's, i think no go.

anyway, that aotg... resolution is poor, i really don't want to watch it.
