just the specs and the price, it's good.

rm200 for a 2/16gb android 5.1.1, can't ask for more.

this is a detailed review:

Based off the description, it appears to be a good box to begin with.. Claims smooth playback of 4K 10bit @ 60hz files.. Not bad, pulling that off. Audio-wise, it appears to be lacking, so don't expect HD audio/passthrough tech. Overall, not bad... Do remember to leave a mini-review upon test driven..  smile.gif

Thank you sifu for the advice... Will place order smile.gif

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Jul 10 2016, 12:25 PM)
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a cheap (as cheap as possible without being too laggy, below RM 200+ if possible) Android Box that will just run things like KODI well.
Resolution of 1080P is sufficient (don't have a 4K TV)

I don't need youtube or mirroring or gaming as I already have the TV connected to a PS4 and Chromecast. Just need a device that will give my more sources to watch (especially documentaries) and I don't feel like getting Netflix.
I don't mind one that requires good connectivity as well as the TV is next to a switch and I can easily attach a LAN cable to it

Thanks !

I've ordered this and should be getting it next week... Less than rm200...

Ordered on 28th June. Shipped out on 30th June by Kerry Express Thailand. Received today but I think would have received it last week if it wasn't a public holiday.

u now have most of the common apps.

the big one is kodi - if u get this one working well, that's a lot.

if u r into china stuff, there are plenty.

later, u can also consider adding a couple of utility apps for cleaning, backup...

just google or search in playstore.
*
Yes sir... Will keep researching...

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 12 2016, 01:01 AM)
Hey, you are doing great..  smile.gif How about the following?
*Smooth UI transitions? Quite smooth
*Startup and shutdown speed? Looks normal?
*Speed in launching and exiting apps? Feels slower than my S7 edge tongue.gif
*Are there firmware updates? Date of latest one, if any? OTA? Having error getting update info from Beelink server. Checking with Beelink on this.
*Able to install and use the latest Kodi version or just the pre-installed one? If so, what version? Updated to the latest version from Playstore
*Kodi's performance? AZDrama, Drama24h, Exodus all ok...
*3D gaming? (Time dependent) Haven't got into gaming yet...
*Does the box ship as rooted? It's not rooted.
*Bugs or crashes? (This might take some time to show)... Etc. Waiting for it to come...

So far so good..  rclxms.gif

Answered above in bold...

Should be RM160 after conversion with Mastercard hopefully.... Anyway, just itchy biggrin.gif  to see how fast is this device incl pic quality with this new processor against existing Himedia Q16 Quad i'm using which has been pretty reliable coming into almost 1.5 yrs old now tongue.gif

Only thing is that it does NOT support 5.1, DTS, passthru etc etc.... mega_shok.gif

Will see how it goes a month from now whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif
