Ya, I kind of agree with you. Have been using Netflix for the past few days. Not really that impressed that I will be paying for it. Only good thing is you will get the streaming without any problem with the unavailable/broken link one gets in Genesis, 1Channel etc.

By the way, watch Rise Of the Hackers in Netflix. Interesting and scary too. They managed to get into Iranian's nuclear station and played with their compressors!

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.. 100% Legal.. Genesis, 1 Channel, etc.. NOT!! As for documentary "Rise of the Hackers", bro, if that worries you then you really don't want to know what can be done & very easily today. See that smartphone on the table across you or in your pocket.. That my friend is the ultimate spying device.. It has cameras, mics, fingerprint scanners, GPS, phone metadata, etc.. And they don't even have to force people to buy/use it.. While we are at it, have you seen Edward Snowden's documentary, "Citizenfour"? biggrin.gif

If it runs.. It'll max out at 480p with stereo sound only. Want Netflix with HD?... Get a certified device.

Saw an article in The Star on Netflix in Spore. Movies are classified for general, parents etc. Do we have that in Msia Netflix? Don't think so from what I have observed over the past few days.

Do we need to pay GST for Netflix subscription? Payment is directly to the US company. Hope Ah Jib is not reading this!

You can create multiple profiles including a Kids only profile. The kids only profile, once created, automatically restricts access to only kids content. Switch or choose at startup. As for GST? Just pay the Netflix monthly charges as on the website & let them worry about that.

Hey AVFAN & others interested in 4K content.. Check UltraFlix out. Seems like they are pushing to be the Netflix of 4K content.

that is interesting and encouraging.

but still the same short list of tv's and devices.

4K material just got started with getting licensed late last year, should hit the stores and online sites this year.

then providers will ramp up the certification for more tv's and more devices.

i am ready, just waiting for them! biggrin.gif

if need be, will upgrade to 50-60mbps then.

Yeah... It's going to be awhile more for wider support and content. At least they've been remastering some older blockbusters. I'm thinking more like 3 - 5 years for things to gradually normalize... Especially since TM will need years to improve current speeds, stability and pricing. Can't blame them & the likes for limiting support to just proven devices, as it's ensures their customers are provided with optimum performance.. Less complaints.. smile.gif

it will help u a lot if u read all the android box threads first. rather than copy and paste in several threads.

iflix does NOT work on many boxes at this time, meant for phones and tablets.

Hope that some expert here can help me.

Using ARES build (on my PC), I like the shows in Rock Concerts. I do not want to install ARES on my TV Box as I do not want to re-do some of the configurations I have done in my TV Box. But want to watch the concerts on my TV, instead of my PC.

How can I find out the link addresses for the concerts in ARES?

Thanks.

P/S Found this path plugin://plugin.video.phstreams

Will explore further and see if I can set this up in my TV Box.

I just got the Minix X8-H Plus and the iflix app plays movies with a black screen (sound is perfectly fine and UI is still responding so the iflix app is not hanging). Anybody have the same problem and solved it?

Try clearing the app data & logging back in.. If the problem remains, contact iflix support.. They might be able to fix it with an update.
