Haha! Sorry I cannot find la... I already have one set (not perfect box) and have given up hope of finding a perfect box... Better be happy with what I have then to chase after perfection... (in this case box perfection, the contents are new and good)

Demand is there but not everybody is willing to pay the current asking market price of RM1.8K (or more for it)... I will advice whoever aiming for this ship to give it a miss unless have deep pockets, cheaper to buy other ships like the LOTR Pirate Ship Ambush. Of course it is not as magnificent as the IF, BP or QAR but sometimes it is pointless chasing after discontinued sets... Paying RM100-200 premium is still acceptable but it gets ridiculous when you have to pay 2x or 3x over the original price... Buying is an emotional decision but the logical mind must step in to save your finances and in some cases your marriage...

Have to remember themes like Lego City, Castle, Space and Pirates etc. has always been a mainstay in Lego's product line-up, Lego may not necessarily re-release the exact same set but you will always find a newer trains, ship, modular building etc. It is expensive and sometimes mission impossible to be a completist...

I am not so much of a Lego fans, only buy them occasionally, but I do collect other collectibles. As such, I strongly agree with the statement above.
It's always nice to be a completist, but it is not a must, and we have other priorities in life. This is just a hobby!!
It really depends on (how deep is) your pockets and your commitments. Never buy and accumulated a long list of credit card debts.
Don't ever be a "toys" addict!! Family come first!! Haha...

this has been circling in my mind over the past few days... haha... eventually these are toys that i'll be spending my time over with my son when he grows up so no point spending too much on them

and they have removed all the newly added sets.. and discounts on the old sets altogether...

I guess they will use the gdex plastic if they cannot get a suitable box size for the set. Really get me anoying, at least they should put Fragile sticker if want to post only using plastic bag.

I guess with the current prom especially the mastercard mondayo, they hv to remove the new set to avoid confusion and rugi coz sell new set with discount.

Wow, 200-300K is a lot... but depends how long you've been collecting and if they are MISB, then may be worth a lot more!

Hmm.. I think I started collect toys and collectibles since I started working, that was like 16 or 18 years ago...




By the way, I think less than 20% of my stuffs are MISB. As I always believe that toys are meant to be play, not just for keeping...
And also, the value of the collectibles are only a perceived value. It's only valuable to certain person. To me, it's more of sentimental value.
That is why I don't sell the stuffs I collect... so far...hehe
