Don't know if this was posted earlier but this is right up my alley! thumbup.gif

Lego Technic 42030 - Volvo L350F Wheel Loader (I think final product name has yet to be confirmed)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

And here is the link to the Eurobricks page where the images were referenced from: Lego Technic 42030

Echoing the opening line of the page, this gotta be the Technic flagship for 2014! rclxm9.gif

When the first half 2014 Technic sets were announced, I only see small sets and thought no Technic sets will make it to my 2014 shopping list. This is definitely a must buy for me, will go nicely with 8043 Motorised Excavator and 42009 Mobile Crane MKII. wub.gif

Another possible candidate to make my 2014 Technic shopping list is 42028 Bulldozer. I cannot find any images or detailed info and can only hope that it is an updated re-release of 8275 Motorised Bulldozer... drool.gif

how much is estimate price for 42030. anyone bringin in?

to be exact BVII sells the VW camper at rm499.90. the co. itself under ALJ. all their LEGO are priced likewise how jusco, parkson & isetan price them all. since ALJ is distributor. most all the boxes in very good condition. if compare with major malls they are in much pathetic state. i mean especially the bigger boxes.

Talking bout Glass Cabinet, besides IKEA, where can we get it? Any shop locally does customization or ones like those in shopping center (example below)? Any recommendation or advise be good.
*
go to light industrial zone. there is those kedai kaca dan aluminium. they can customize and quote you on the design.

ikea prices was exhorbitant. most ppl usually go there to grab their concept and custom design their furnitures.

If any set caught your eye and you wanted it badly, but expensive.. then start saving $$ for it I guess.
*
by that time what u want already sold out and discontinued. next batch obviously be few hundred ringgit more expensive. but no guarantee can get it cause others will haul it too base on first come first serve.

example: i saw family man with 3 kids haul the death star & superstar destroyer at mall BVII. the same at 1U ToyrUs the day i saw the super star destroyer. the next day sold already. this is the notable trending.

Back to reality , when one is on a budget, I don't think its sensible to ask him/her to splurge immediately especially on hobby items like these. Of coz in  LEGO-centric community/thread, "BUY BUY BUY now " seemed "fine" too.

example: I saw ebay listing selling LEGO stuff with reason like " need $$$ for urgent matters"
I guess there are difference in mindset between deep pockets like you vs poorfag like me....  cry.gif
*
in reality buy according to own affordability. spent moderately. not to get yourself in-debt with credit card.

there are many other varieties u can collect and put in display glass.

depends la some set price does drop a bit. but most of them maintain with lesser discount. I thought unimog when release was 900. Cannot recall. Find 3rd party will have better discount like 700+ if i recall correctly.
*
that 700+ was years back during initial release. that i saw last priced as low as rm740. that time no one bothers..

now it's ceiling rm900 @2014.

another thing BBT they give 20% non-member & 30% member for a bulk of lego city & ninjagoo. they are clearing all sets with ALJ stickers. u all may have a look.

*
wonder if the 41999 still avail since 20,000 units released. the last saw sold around rm1,600.00 which currently no stock.

It's not that impressive out from the box in my opinion.  Still need to mod to make it even better.  From some instructional videos online, so much can be done.  Just need the time and resources to do it.
*
the box concept dark & blue is more less lego copying the Tamiya TRF 416 series remote control 1/10 car chassis packaging. the car kit itself sold rm1800 without remote, servo, motor, body & wheels.

by adopting the concept from Tamiya. it had became something of spectacular and elite in concept.

for a start i don't think they expect those sets to be toys for most children... there are whole lot of smaller sets to satisfy kids..
imagine you were to spend thousand plus on a set.. and let small kids play with it.. missing few pieces will definitely trigger this reaction:  doh.gif  rclxub.gif  mad.gif

super heroes collectors, green lantern might be coming!  rclxms.gif

that's not the case, parents who pamper their kids they won't mind. as long they all are happy. when they shop 2 x rm2000 item destroyer & death star. their 3 kids below 10 in age i saw.
