QUOTE(Senforr @ Feb 4 2014, 10:42 PM) The Lego China Center will only start operational in 2017. I need my Lego now!! Haha..2017 is the earliest, maybe will extend if got problem With Lego Trading taking over distributorship in Malaysia they can use the Legoland as the center and start Shop@Home in Malaysia. Then we can get Lego Magazine subscription as well!! Kinda weird having Legoland here but no access to Lego membership. QUOTE(Senforr @ Feb 4 2014, 10:55 PM) And another thing, US and UK are giving out free minifig with movie ticket purchase. Are we getting any here? Not seeing any adverts on it. There is no advertisement in tv also in cinema. I wonder what is wrong with Lego Movie promotion in Malaysia, something fishy is going on. If there is no ad, we cannot hope for any minifig to be given away when go watch the movie. QUOTE(scoop7 @ Feb 4 2014, 11:04 PM) If give KO version I dun wan. QUOTE(Chaud @ Feb 5 2014, 07:34 AM) Haha..that is the best we can hope for |

Lego Movie set is available in Amazon US and it is cheaper to buy there. for example if buy Metalbeard Duel + Lord Business Lair(currently on sale) will cost RM405 include shipping. Where if buy in BBT or BV will cost arounf RM475.
Latest my wife bought me mindstorms ev3 from Amazon US and they already improve their packaging, not a slight dent on the box and she bought it for RM1270 include shipping :-) |

QUOTE(savien @ Feb 5 2014, 11:37 AM) Hmm... how you buy from Amazon? I thought they dont deliver directly to Malaysia if its Lego? Do you use services like hopshopgo or borderlinx? Amazon US is actually offering International Shipping to Malaysia but not all set, normally for current and new set only. When you browse in amazon, make sure to check Global Shipping Eligible to filter all set that able to be send to Malaysia. And I use Newest Arrival filter to find new set available |

QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Feb 5 2014, 12:15 PM) USD to MYR rate for amazon now is 3.5 Yeah..the conversion is quite high currently. Amazon US is currently having 20% discount to all Lego Movie set. u can compare with local reseller price..if cheaper just a little, then better buy locally.. non the less, amazon do give amazing discount sometimes If just buy 1 set, the price is just slightly cheaper, but if buy like 2 or more set can reduced a lot on shipping |

QUOTE(Mr. Alby @ Feb 6 2014, 09:17 AM) Yeah...Amazon shipping is a killer. You are so lucky got friend in US can help. I only have friend in UK and Canada only and the price is not much different from here.Thats why I send to my friends house & use a different shipping instead... The shipping for that kind of drawer that my friend charge me its around RM60-80. I think its not bad la for that size. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Feb 6 2014, 10:27 AM) Hi guys, I am new to Lego. I am going through the catalogue after watching the Lego movie (which by the way is incredible) and I was just wondering if there's an easy way to sort Lego products in varying difficulty or does a newb just look for the highest average age (10-16) and then look for the largest number of pieces? It depend for whom you buy the Lego set, if for your kids, you can follow the age recommendation. If you buy for yourself, you can buy any set that appeal to you because Lego building instruction is really clear and easy to follow. The main point is to have fun and learn new thing Thanks for helping out. |

I found that during booking with gsc the house they allocate for Lego Movie is very very small eventhough the movie just released. Are they thinking the movie will be a flop? I found that Lego Movie have not been treat fairly by local cinema. There must be some people did not want Lego Movie to become popular. I wonder why this is happen in Malaysia, the only Asia country that have Legoland.

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Feb 6 2014, 02:15 PM) General perception of LEGO = kiddy. LEGO movie = kiddy movie . Locals might treat it same like Winnie the pooh or doraemon movie I think (one off entertainment for their kids, then go home sleep. ) rather than "oh wow this is truly epic!! Now I'm hooked on the toys". I know its under kids genre, but come on, on a 1st week of release? This is ridiculous. I just feel this happen only to Malaysia and somebody is behind it.I won't be bothered at all about the movie's reception locally or worldwide. As a toyline, LEGO is already up there at the top rung . As a AFOL, I'm satisfied with their offerings so far. |

QUOTE(Ultraman the great @ Feb 6 2014, 02:50 PM) sure la.... but then again what the heck, PM best price... hahhaha... Does it mean they think The Lego Movie will be a flop? I know cinema running a business, but its normal to give way for new movie a big hall and as time goes if the movie didn't do well will slowly convert to small hall. But give small hall at the start of screening is a bit unfair.cinemas are running a business. allocation is based on expected crowd for the movie and pulling power of each movie. what for they allocate multiple cinemas or big cinemas if no crowd turn up? Having legoland does not make msia a "atas" country. Only reason why its here is cos the land cost is cheap and its relative "closeness" to a certain neighboring country.. Purchasing power of msians for lego is really a pittance and small compared to countries like HK or spore. for every 1 "mega taikun" here in msia, there are prob 10-20 of them in spore/HK. Having LLM never make us the "atas" country, and our buying power is not that good compare to all the D currency country. What I mean is, when we have LLM in our country, doesn't it make more sense to give more support to the movie? When more people watch it, more will be attract to Lego and probably will raise the number of people to go visit LLM. |

Or maybe due to Lego Wall Mural incident before, "somebody" have been so sensitive about Lego QUOTE(fadzlie @ Feb 6 2014, 03:27 PM) I don't know why GSC is using small hall for The Lego Movie, but if I'm not mistaken my show tonight in TGV will be in one of the bigger halls. Maybe because happen to hv 1 big hall available. GSC on Sunday all small hall and the showing time is only 4 per day.QUOTE(Chaud @ Feb 6 2014, 03:30 PM) Agreed, really upset about this. |
