QUOTE(chew_loong @ Feb 12 2014, 06:38 PM) Haven't started on the known movie boxed sets yet but starting off on the "fast going" The Lego Movie polybags to complete the collection later on. Bro chew_loong when it comes to buying Lego, you are a Lego Master Buyer! ![]() Waiting on the 30281 Micro Manager Battle polybag coming soon. |

Lego is fast becoming a luxury toy... each set costing ard rm1k or higher. Thanks to our weak RM and Lego releasing large sets like modulars, Simpson House, Sea Cow, .... definitely not for children in our country!

Rumor of another huge set ala 10196 Grand Carousel coming... on top of Mini Cooper and UCS Sand Crawler and Slave I... dunno whether to my tears are of joy (more LEGO) or sadness ($$ flying away). |

QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Feb 18 2014, 09:59 PM) for a start i don't think they expect those sets to be toys for most children... there are whole lot of smaller sets to satisfy kids.. According to Lego insider, children account for 95% of their total sales. Furthermore the Lego Movie sets are targeted for kids, just like the movie itself. It's just that the large sets are so mahal here due to our weak ringgit. imagine you were to spend thousand plus on a set.. and let small kids play with it.. missing few pieces will definitely trigger this reaction: super heroes collectors, green lantern might be coming! http://www.groovebricks.com/lego-green-lan...re-coming-soon/ QUOTE(toh2020 @ Feb 18 2014, 10:09 PM) that's not the case, parents who pamper their kids they won't mind. as long they all are happy. when they shop 2 x rm2000 item destroyer & death star. their 3 kids below 10 in age i saw. Not everyone can pamper their kids like that. Have to be careful not to spoil our children too much as they will become adults and parents of tomorrow. |

QUOTE(wintzen @ Feb 19 2014, 11:37 AM) I mean how about those from the sets? Coz the CMF version of Wyldstyle is the dress version. Wanted to get the normal version. But not willing to pay high price for Lego Movie sets haha..... Get lah the Melting Pot set. Reasonable price under rm100, get minifigures of the 2 main characters. QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Feb 19 2014, 11:39 AM) Haha! How old is your kid? Yesterday our friend took their kids to the Lego Movie and both parents fell asleep in the cinema while the kids sat through the whole show and thoroughly enjoyed the movie! Haha! Parents definitely not AFOLs. Wonder if it was a 3D movie, and if their dreams were in 3D too? QUOTE(ilfort @ Feb 19 2014, 11:41 AM) for my cousin, not even in F1. Lol. The parents loan them money. Kids nowadays learning to accumulate debt at an early age. Credit card debt already a big problem nowadays, can only get worse in future... So sad, even buy toys, kids have to loan from parents nowadays. |
