Shut down, battery is completely shut down or off. You need to put it to sleep, just close the lid for sleep mode and you still can use your USB ports to charge.

QUOTE(storm88 @ Jul 27 2014, 12:04 PM) the Y50 DOS model is phasing out by Lenovo Malaysia. Means no more super low price Y50 available anymore. Once sold out, there would be no next batch ANYMORE. For those who still dreaming for BEST PRICE offers, good luck The super hot model Y50/DOS is phasing out according to bro storm88. Grab it fast before its too late. Y40 rumor ETA in August, wait if u can wait. Dual modes Flex2 with better IPS touch screen compare to Z50 with non-touch TN panel.

I recently bought Lenovo Y50 which comes with Windows 8.1 Update 1 preinstalled. Apparently it come with hotkeys like volume and brightness. (since some people reported that they haven't include this feature) I tried to update my Nvidia drivers, but it says that the driver has been modified by Lenovo and can only updated from their site (already checked, their driver is 3 months outdated). I found the solution how to install official Nvidia driver by using this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKt7HF_-jAkHowever some people on YT reported that installing official driver causes lowers the FPS... So can someone volunteer to try that driver? Or should wait Lenovo to update thet driver? (Drivers checked on both Nvidia Experience & Nvidia website)

It's better to wait for the official update from Lenovo. I doubt anyone who willing to risk their own machine for your own sake unless some people had done it before.

Well the y50 Dos version doesn't seem to have this issue. I just dl the beta 340 driver from nvidia website and it works perfectly fine.

Wait, why my Y50 with Windows 8.1 comes with Elantech touchad? Does it my touchpad is bad? How do you configure to make MAC feel? That's mean Lenovo got their own hardware options for each model. Luckily the display still AUO. EDIT: By the way, how do reinstall Lenovo Onekey Recovery if I changed the hard disk? I mean all recoveries and OEM softwares the come along with the package.
