the keyboard of the y50 is much better too if you do type a lot.
as a complete package i would go with the y50 despite the average screen (I am actually ok with it then again I come from the age where CRTs were a norm lolx)

Trust me, i would prefer CRTs over my Y50 shitty TN panel. biggrin.gif sweat.gif

i actually prefer the Y50 screen because it makes it so much easier to read codes (when i evaluate my student's code on his laptop).

My option is Illegear z5 or the ASUS ROG

honestly pretty pointless rant as it is more of an issue with the software coding than the hardware/ drivers (if you know how software communicate with drivers, you would agree with me here).
the standard klite codec would be able to handle all the commonly found video file format without any issue.

it would be better if you just post directly to the software's forum/ bug trackers instead of us here.
all of your tldr posts here seems to just be screaming for attention (look I am special as I want the best video format yadda yadda yadda) where no one here really cares or even have the knowledge/ experience to really fix it as we are not from Nvidia/ ATI/ Madvr.

if you don't care why even bother replying ?

u lel rolleyes.gif oo and a troll at that doh.gif

Anyhow it's related though not tbh like i said not specific only to acer but to a wide range of laptops with integrated + nvidia gpus combination using stuff like optimus.

But seeing as i own this laptop hence i post here. Yes i may have posted extensively, though originally i was just going to briefly mention it, but i ended up just replying to the other person who was discussing this issue with me.

If you not interested, don't even bother replying. Don't act then come here and troll, nobody cares about you trying to create a problem over nothing ok kid smile.gif You already have a bad rep for doing nonsense like this, i already shitlist you ages ago LEL.

I cited a temporary workaround for those of us who own this laptop or any with a similar setup in order to get video playback working with the integrated nvidia gpu (using nvidia inspector). So while i'm contributing positively, you are the one only comment is to troll... get a life sweat.gif my 50cents.

Anyway caught me by surprise because i was not expecting madvr not to work on a laptop with such a gpu setup hmm.gif

simple because as many others have pointed out here (like @Miong), u are flooding the thread with TLDR discussion that have no relation with the topic at all.
yet I got called a troll and a kid with a report doh.gif
posting meme images on serious discussions aren't the way to go if you wanna call someone troll/ kid to the point the tldr/ meme images need to be placed in a spoiler tag.
i am sure mods can testify that i do not troll with my posts.

---

OT: really personal insult after the report? talk about being salty shakehead.gif you are probably one of those i call out back then from the gaming e-peen sessions for posting TLDR spam on threads/ dramas which you do have a reputation of. u can bring this to my PM instead of this thread as I do not want the topic to be derailed further.

960m is straight up maxwell. I dont think there will be any kepler anymore since maxwell >> kepler.

You need to dismantle the whole laptop to get to the battery if i'm not mistaken. There is some pictures from previous page i believe.

G501JW is more expensive since its ultra slim gaming notebook with dual fans cooling.
New Y50 is using FHD TN display panel, wish they don't use the budget TN panel like the old model.
Y50 in US all using IPS FHD panel, China and MY still using TN FHD panel. laugh.gif

New Y50 lower their retail price might be due to competition from Acer V nitro and other.

Different people different view. As for me as long it is working i'm fine with it. Go to a physical store to view it.
