Anyhow it's related though not tbh like i said not specific only to acer but to a wide range of laptops with integrated + nvidia gpus combination using stuff like optimus.

But seeing as i own this laptop hence i post here. Yes i may have posted extensively, though originally i was just going to briefly mention it, but i ended up just replying to the other person who was discussing this issue with me.

I cited a temporary workaround for those of us who own this laptop or any with a similar setup in order to get video playback working with the integrated nvidia gpu (using nvidia inspector). So while i'm contributing positively, you are the one only comment is to troll... get a life my 50cents.

Anyway caught me by surprise because i was not expecting madvr not to work on a laptop with such a gpu setup

you can use third party app like speedfan to control the fan speed aswell

960m is straight up maxwell. I dont think there will be any kepler anymore since maxwell >> kepler.

Wow.. Asus is more expensive than Y50 16gb ram variant..
The new batch of Lenovo is using a good display already right ? RM 4239 for gtx960m and 16gb ram is very cheap

G501JW is more expensive since its ultra slim gaming notebook with dual fans cooling.
New Y50 is using FHD TN display panel, wish they don't use the budget TN panel like the old model.
Y50 in US all using IPS FHD panel, China and MY still using TN FHD panel.

New Y50 lower their retail price might be due to competition from Acer V nitro and other.

Retail price for Acer V Nitro Black is around 3.7kRM incld. GST

Different people different view. As for me as long it is working i'm fine with it. Go to a physical store to view it.
