QUOTE(zulnar99 @ Feb 12 2014, 02:45 PM) Idle should be below 60'C, gaming should be below 90'C processor and 80'C GPU. (Room temperature)Advisable to get cooler or gaming in air conditioned room. Temperature also depends on game itself, more demanding games means much heat it will produce. |

QUOTE(SubRoutine @ Feb 16 2014, 12:15 AM) About the Y510p with single GT 755M, can i play games in full resolution with 40+ FPS? I'm talking BF4/AC4 class graphics. Should be no problem bro. Playing BF4 on my Y500 GT750M usually got 50+ FPS on FHD. But i usually want my fps to stay at 60FPS, i manage to do it with some settings that i played, already forgot since i already sold my laptop. Haha. But all im saying its more than capable to play BF4 on Y510p. Of course, im willing to compromise on settings such as AA/shadows. I cant live with muddy textures though.. But AC4 is not so good, i think AC4 is not really an optimized game. I tried many settings but cant really find the perfect fps so i straight away uninstall the game. |

QUOTE(storm88 @ Feb 16 2014, 10:11 AM) Cant remember bro i already sold my laptop. I usually tweak using my preference. I dont like it to be fix at high/medium/extra. Always mix to get good fps. Im a person who dont care much about AA/Aniso-filtering etc. i only want 60fps for my games. Haha. I even played on windows mode to get static 60fps. Its all about ur own preference as i said about AC4, the optimization is really bad unlike BF4 great optimized game. |

Really tempted to buy the V15 but knowing Acer i must molest the model and wait for review first. (The built in battery bothers me tho, preciously using Acer TimelineX gaming on that machine not more than 6 months battery kaput already).
I have molested the Asus, nice build quality but i didnt really like the screen. I hate anti-glare FHD screen, it just doesnt work imo. FHD screen must be glossy in order to showcase the HDness. For me la. |

QUOTE(syncomp @ Oct 14 2014, 10:32 AM) Previous Acer models are very known of its battery issue. Perhaps this time Acer do provide battery management software like what Lenovo does. No bro, my acer 4830tg battery previously was very good 7hrs usually, but after i started gaming (dota 2) my battery deteriorate because of heat in about 4 months. |
