Any problem got to do with transmission first check transmission oil level. Usually due to over filled. When there s too much oil the transmission hesitate in changing gears.

Still within warranty period and I went to Tayjaya Melaka SC, basically I have been told that it is normal for few models and Elantra is one of them, unless it accumulates water, if its vapor it considers NORMAL to them.

Further been told by Hyundai that, another way is that I can change the headlamps myself and use for 1-2 months, if there is no vapor I can proceed to claim for warranty and Hyundai will reimburse me, in other words claiming vapor is really normal so you change also will have vapor. (Informed that instructions are from Korea)

Is there any elantra owner installed PU body kits to share your precious experience?

I have been looking for the body kit that i like for a while, but too bad it is only available in PU material.
( found a few acc shop that have abs material but its not the type i want)

My fren suggested me don't go for PU kits as it is heavy and tak tahan panas (paint surface cannot tahan might have different tone under sunlight)

Appreciate if someone can enlighten me on this

Thank you

Are you sure you can make it claimable, because I had made a claim and it's being rejected.

If you can really help the situation then it is ok for me to go over to glenmarie, mind PM your number.
Thanks

My elantra has been having difficulty to start for quite sometimes. I need to press twice the start button, the first one wouldn't start the car. From the google I realize this is throttle body issue. Need some cleaning.

Yesterday I DIY throttle body cleaning. There're only four screws to remove . I did not completely remove the throttle body as there are two tubes attached. I only detached it from the air inlet off the engine.
I sprayed throttle body special cleaning agent thoroughly inside and outside, then I used dry kitchen tissue papers to wipe all the black dirts. I make sure I didn't wipe it too hard as it may destroy any sensors there. Anyway the throttle shines well.

However after I put all back together and started the car, the check engine light was came on the dashboard panel. This might be a false alarm because the cleaning involved moving the throttle plate. But it might also be the real problem to the throttle position sensor (TPS).

To clear this issue, I reset the check engine light by took out the negative cable off the main battery and touch it to the positive battery cable. This will confirm if there is indeed a problem to TPS, in which the check engine light will remain there on the dashboard panel even after resetting.

Indeed it was a false alarm, the check engine light went off after I reset it. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the reply.

Besides, any recommendations for changing the HU ?
My ori (crap) HU touchscreen is not very responsive and the screen is hardly to be seen under sunlight. especially when using the reverse camera.

Saw a lot of HU brands such as Pioneer, Kenwood, JBL etc but I dont really know which is better, the price differs much also.

No idea wor. Those who change sendiri pick n choose their own.
I guess u have to decide which tickles your fancy and suits your budget more.
Please note that modification done during warranty period will void the warranty for that part and related parts too, so PLEASE be careful NOT to cut wiring.
