I have installed my Fotile EH10BQ and my kitchen is open concept kitchen as well (Kitchen + dining + living). We tried cooking Kangkung belacan yesterday, and did not have any belacan smell lingering around while cooking, except when the wind blows the hood exhaust fumes back in. This is partly due to my kitchen is located at front and secondly the ducting height clearance is right above the window (renovation mistake).

Didnt notice TS has a showroom in pwtc last 2 weeks. I missed the chance!
Maybe that time I'm not looking into hood etc.

It seems like zheilwane from Builders Hardware is the one people choose to shop for hood, gas hobs.

I'm currently looking for hoob, gas hoibs, oven. It will be great if it comes in package price.

For the hoob, I do cook a lot , dont know what type of hood / gas hobs to get ( still newbie in this thread ) laugh.gif

p/s: Is it true people from forum can get special discount if visit your shop. haha. drool.gif

Glad that u like you hood smile.gif EH10BQ has been our best seller for many years and proven be effective, if if there is wind blowing at the hood, it will affect the air curtain's performance. Tested JQG 9009 and it seems the disturbance is lesser due to the lower suction point and baffle plate. smile.gif

Hey guys and gals!

I'm just curious. Has anyone been to Canton I in The Gardens' Basement Food Court? The kitchen opens into the dining room so you can see all the activity behind the scenes. There isn't even a glass panel dividing the two areas. They are using dragon's breath gas burners for woks (and the menu is a huge clue as to what type of cooking they do).

But, you can't smell anything coming from the kitchen at all. I had to keep asking my sister if there was something wrong with my nose. It seems they use baffle filtered hoods from what I saw. If not, maybe cyclonic (since the two are rather similar in appearance).

I suppose the key is maintenance. Commercial kitchens need to have their equipment working at maximum efficiency to be able to keep the level of output they need to produce.

Anyways, just sharing what was in my head. smile.gif

Is a very powerful suction they have, and all custom build. My cousin have a custom build in his kitchen, and using the high power flame burner too. Flame can go up to 2ft without any problem.

Has anyone used a hood insert? I might go for one of those instead. Most hood designs available in Malaysia leave me wanting. :/

Hello Friends,

Anybody here has experience on purchasing and using stainless steel kitchen equipments like the ones use at commercial kitchens. Ones meant for heavy use. One of the company that I found and seem to be popular with restaurants is BERJAYA STEEL PRODUCT SDN. BHD.

http://www.berjayasteel.com/products_1.htm

I take my cooking somewhat seriously. Rather than spending a bomb on branded professional kitchen equipment, maybe BERJAYA STEEL products would be good enough in terms of functionality and pricing. (Since lots of restaurants uses them)

Appreciate any advice on this matter.

Hey zheilwane,

Just wondering will your shop will be having some booths in any upcoming fairs?
