Hi,

My old cooker hood just broken after using for 10 years. I am looking for a new cooker hood and was considering some of the brands that was discussed in this forum. However, I was told by an electrical shop that the old cooker hood that I was using is a slim cooker hood because it was installed below a cabinet with a hose running inside it. The new type of cooker hood has a motor inside the chimney and can not be fitted under a cabinet. Can someone please confirm this. thanks

Are you sure it "has a hose running inside it?"
Those are recirculating type and should have no vent hose
Here - measure the width of your old one. Should be around 600mm

It has a hose inside the cabinet above. Just like the Slim Hood Rinnai RH 90EV. However, this type of hood only has suction about 500 m3/hr. I was thinking to get something like Fortile or Rinnai with chimney but without installing the chimney cause the suction is more than 1000 m3/hr

Hi,Dude06 may i know you stay in which location ? i can provide you Fujioh Dealers company and shop address.
Fujioh from Japan and Fujioh kitchen hoods using 304 stainless steel grade and the retifier panel/aluminium filter/sirocco fan can be remove for cleaning purpose..every fujioh kitchen hood u can use more than 10 years.
Btw may i know u stay on landed or high rise building ? if u stay on landed area i suggest u use the ventilation and if u stay in high rise then u need use recycling d..in the market alot kitchen hood fan canot remove for cleaning ..after a period of time u will feel the efficiency level drop bcoz the fan canot wash.

Hi, I'm renovating my outdoor kitchen and looking for hood to be install. I prefer Fotile brand. Since it is an outdoor kitchen, I prefer ductless/recirculating hood. Any model to recommended? My budget for hood + hob is below RM 3k. Thanks.

Hi ethanhan,

This thread is dominated by FOTILE fans. Trust that you will get well response about FOTILE. Seeing the way you organised the brandname for the hood is quite the right way. 1) FOTILE 2) RINNAI 3) LEBENSSTIL 4) PACIFICA 5) CELINI. But the Lebensstil & Pacifica performance and quality plus service is almost looks alike

For more information about FOTILE, you can check into FOTILE thread here.

For LEBENSSTIL, PACIFICA and others, you can check into this thread.

Thank you.  thumbup.gif
