Fujioh is the first mover in inner flame hob whereby rinnai is the second.

Rinnai is more specialising in hob (and gas related product like gas heater and commercial range appliances).

Fujioh is more specialising in hood (we have a customer record of 18years usage).
ELECTROLUX, TEKA, BOSCH have good hob too, how many of you realise?

So, Fujioh GFP900SV + Rinnai RB-2CG is the best?

I wonder if the cheaper Rinnai RB-2GI which is not made in Japan is ok enough? The price difference is big.

the performance of RB-2GI is ok, if you are not demanding on the superior part like cast iron, scott ceran glass...etc it can serve well.

The glass warranty is not included in the raya promo. Electric hobs use schott ceran glass not normal tempered glass.

The raya promotion is only for tempered glass (gas hob only)

So if bought electric hob with hood, the extended warranty for hood motor also not included right since promo is for gas hob + hood combo only right?

What is the benefit of cast iron and the schott ceran glass? The RB-2GI is using also using Cast iRon, I think the more expensive RB-2CG is using cast stainless steel, what is the difference?

more durable lo. As this is inner flame, the glass is nearer to the flame that is why previously they used schott ceran ceramic glass as it could withstand higher temperature (more durable).

This is similar to electric hobs, heating element directly heating up the glass, that is why electric hobs must use ceramic glass like schott ceran, cannot use normal tempered glass.

Just my suggestion, I always think customers choose Rinnai because it is made in japan and they trust the quality, so RB-2CG is a better choice. If you are getting Rinnai because you wan something of better quality, then u should get RB-2CG.

Schott Ceran glass is the original of ceramic tempered glass maker.

basically all induction / ceramic hobs are using schott ceran glass.

what is so special of ceramic glass?

- highly resistant to sudden temperature shock
- incredible durable
- never see the severe burn-ins under the pot
- fully recycle

Cast iron more durable, anything that is glass even ceran glass have a chance of breaking especially dropping something hard and heavy like cast iron pots, or ceramic. Chance will be there happen or not really depend on how it got abuse of. Metal will have dent if heavy things drop on it.

Glass more "sexy" and classy", Metal easier to manufacture if scratch can easily polish it, even if its not polish away is not so noticeable.

For rinnai, forumer like Xam-Max, and iamsobloodysick can give you good price, depending what model they stock, where your location is also important.

If you in subang, try JF Home at USJ 9. He don't do online or forum a conventional shop but give good service too.
