I had the same problem as you yesterday night!

I was just using whatsapp,wechat. Not a heavy user though,
Battery charged 100%, on that moment was 39%, then suddenly it HANGS -.-
press power button no use, charge also no use.
Need to reset only can function.

Saw some forumers said,widgets caused it, so far, i dont have any widgets on my homescreen.

I'm kinda dissapointed too. I just use this phone merely 1 month.

It for sure will get kitkat, no worries

im into my 2nd week and no problems at all.

so far yes, but future version (4.4 kitkat & so on) not sure since its not out yet.
rooting won't void the warranty, unless u root & OC until processor burn , unlock bootloader will void the warranty, but u can backup TA so its not really a problem.

i just bought z1 yesterday
now when i charging my phone can hear buzzing sound from my charger...its is abnormal?

Anyone else knw is sony website can check the warranty period?

My phone currently having some crashes issue now. Whenever I tried to check my BATTERY USAGE, then the setting menu will just crashed and re-launch again. @@

Tried contacting Sony support and they said their developer would be looking into this issue. Just wondering if it is just my unit, or everyone is facing this issue.

Can a current owner of Z1 tell me how do you replace the battery? Is it replaceable in the first place or is it fixed like that? My friend bought a HTC One Max and it cost hime RM170 for non ori battery from normal shop. He says ori battery can cost more than that. I like the phone, I just don't like the non-removable battery part.

Sony announce Xperia Z2 will only be the flagship for 6 months.
Like Z -> Z1 -> Z2. I guess the second hand value will drop fast too.

dear sifu's.

recently i encountered this wifi issue while overseas. since i have no data roaming plan, i solely rely on wifi to get connected. my problem are as follows.

1. connected to hotel wifi, then when i come back from sight seeing, cannot connect. always stuck at "Obtaining IP address...". Restart phone, forget network doesnt help. What worked was the hotel had a power outage which restarted the router.

2. same as above but happened at a cafe. this time was "connected" but nothing loads (facebook etc. etc.)

why does this happen? i know its simple as restart router, but sometimes, i dun have control over that..


additional note: my wife's note 2 (which was my old phone b4 switchin to z1) could connect properly without any issues...

eh... still haven't got the chance to bring my z1 overseas...

so, have u encounter such problem in m'sia? thus far i have not encounter any problem with my wifi connection in m'sia la.

brought my z1 to japan, dint encounter any problems
