what's the best way of doing a factory reset without going through too much time/hassle restoring it?
Eg, can the sony pc companion do what itunes do to iphone? full backup, once restore everything is back in place?

A replacement for Z1 or not, can't really sure yet but is possible another flagship which is better than Z1.

7 months to replace another flagship is nothing, Now flagship is for 1/2 year only, no longer a year.

I beg to differ but by releasing two flagships in a fiscal year is never a wise business decision.

Also please enlighten me on which company is or has practised such strategy as I might be wrong.

The Z1 was only announced in September last year. It is highly unlikely they will replace their flagship a mere 7 months after announcement.

Rumors have been going around of a D6503 Sirius being tested. That concides with the model number of the current Xperia ZL. Which also coincidentally was launched roughly this time last year. A Z2 would probably have a model number of D6903, assuming they stick to current naming convention.

So in all likelihood, it will be the Xperia Z1L that is launched during that MWC event. Which I'm guessing will be roughly a Z1 with no water + dust proofing and plastic body. Some say it will also have a smaller bezel and bigger screen. Who knows, eh?

btw, haven't heard of any new breathtaking processor yet. so new flagships won't mean much of a thing.

Erm, guys. I was looking for silicone bumpers before this, in the previous pages of this thread. So, I finally found this 1 in Amazon. I don't know if it is trusted or not, so again, what's your opinion guys?

Amazon usually do not ship anything other than books to Malaysia. Or you can try to buy this bumper from another website.

I added this into my Cart. It does not give me any notice like, couldn't send this particular product to KL. I only need to type in the details of my credit card and I'm good to go. But, I don't know if this is actually trusted or not. That's why I haven't make any payment. Only added this into the Cart.

My experience with Amazon is when I try to check out my items from the shopping cart, they say they cannot ship to Malaysia. Amazon works with several independent shipping companies and they won't ship my items here. Maybe in your situation, they have a shipper who will ship your particular item to you. I'm just telling you this because Amazon is one company who will not ship everything listed on their website to Malaysia. It's a hit and miss shopping experience with them. I get much better luck with eBay.

What are your concerns anyway? The quality of the bumper or if Amazon will run away with your money?

My concerns are something like these, first of all, money scam issue. Because I've not done any online trading before(honestly, like literally none). Second, shipping location. Third, quality of the products or they're maybe just some jerks who will swap my item off with some other junks.

Hi,

I just got myself the Z1 last week. Been loving it. Only issue is, I feel that the battery is draining fast and sometimes using the magnetic cable charger, it says, "Not charging".. Is this normal? I bought phone and cable from Sony Centre Publika btw.

Thank you

All valid concerns. You can try to buy that bumper off Amazon. See if it checks out. If not, then look for the same bumper on eBay. See that the seller is reputable with lots of people buying from them. This will decrease your risks.

Just got a USB dac Fiio e07k for the Z1. Works flawlessly with the USB OTG cable. No additional driver required.
