QUOTE(ckchan @ Feb 11 2014, 05:55 PM) i dunno... as i said i'm not a technical guy. what i am trying to say is there is alot more equipment in the network than those in the tower site. they have separate equipment for handling calls, sms, data, ID, billing,... etc... and most of these equipment is not located in a regular tower site. it's located in their centrlized/regional NOC. maybe u can ask your bro-in-law about this problem and let us know what could have cause this data connection lost I don't bother to ask my bro. The LTE connection are between a tower with LTE transceiver and LTE phone, there is nothing to do with another equipment. If another LTE equipment located at the same area can connect to LTE, but only my phone can't, it's must be something wrong with the phone. I have 3 more LTE devices beside my phone.

My friend from NTT explained this to me a few hours ago: Its probably because your service provider is "running out of spectrum" and some unlucky users are forced to use the lower spectrum which provides the telcos distance and reach but lower bandwidth unlike those who are in the higher band when bandwidth is wider/higher but reach is less. ___________________ Which service provider are all of your LTE devices using? They could be picking out certain numbers to be on low bandwidth, and maybe only your Z1's number is the unlucky one.

So any ideas about two different dial tones I'm receiving? One has a normal tone to it while the other is a bit distorted twang. I'm a bit irritated with it but earphone test under service is great and so is the caller ringtone. It is not long distance or roaming call. It is because it is the same no and I even got it while calling a landline.

After using the z1 for almost 2 months now, here's my verdict:
From the camera to the battery, to the gaming performance and snappiness. Everything is amazing. Many complained about the thick bezel, oddly-placed buttons, even the viewing angles. But imo, those complains are insignificant. Well-known problems in lemon units like the yellow hue was never present in mine.
The only slight downside is, it gets a little bit hot after a few round of games and browsing (but which phone doesn't?), and the price.
My rating: 9.5/10
Kbai.

For me the color vibrancy and viewing angle are quite letdown la, at least for me la. But the heat issue, my previous HTC One X way hotter LOL Anyway glad to see another satisfied Z1 geng

Hi, I would like to ask from the z1 senior here. I just got mine 2 days ago, I haven't done anything with it but only update it through the sony pc companion. What happen next is my phone suddenly vibrate continuously before i decide to turn the phone off and turn it back on. Any idea how to solve this vibration problem or anyone had encountered this before? Thanks.

QUOTE(ckchan @ Feb 12 2014, 01:21 PM) wah... that's weird... but u don't have this problem when hearing other people talking? No problem hearing them. The earphone test is perfect. Though i do realize signal degradation from H+ to no data when the sound appears. Not sure if it is related. I change to purely 2G only still the same.
