Guys, going to Sepang/Bagan Lalang tomorrow for quick trip.

Anyone knows any decent catch & take home paypond there/nearby?

Lazy wanna go out to sea so thought better if can just go paypond and take back fish to cook.

Doesn't have to be dirt cheap, as long as reasonable + got fish I'm ok.

Much appreciated!

hmm..after googling, aint that far also though, max 1 hour from PJ can reach Exotic Behrang. any idea what baits they allow? same as rawang last time (any types)?

edit:
just read a blog.
1)Only Single de-barbed hooks are allowed (refer to our Vlog above on how to de-barb hooks). Jigs and Spoons are not allowed to minimise deliberate foul hooking of fish.
2)Live bait will be available for purchase (Catfish) however smelly baits such as the famed chicken liver are no longer allowed.

question.
1) meaning no casting?

2) ok so no more usage of smelly baits, got it! but can we bring our own live bait (lampam/baby talipia)? can use kerang ah? LOL

Anyone into deep water fishing? Planning to buy my first electric reel for my upcoming trip. Max depth around 120m. Looking forward to Daiwa 500J / Shimano Beastmaster 3000 (2014) / Shimano BeastMaster 3000XP. Appreciate if I could get some feedback on these models or other recommendation.

Koh Adang and nearby area. Many said 3000 sized already sufficient for our coast. But also consider bigger sized as u mentioned. In term of durability which one is better daiwa or shimano? And in between forcemaster and beastmaster, the difference is only the motor right?

Durability depend on your usage
For me myself I brought forcemasterr 9k , loaded with 100lb line I bring it everywhere I go bottom fishing.

Even went for Burma bank it performs perfectly as it should be.
300 plus meter deep with 2kg up to 4kg sinker. Important is it has the line capacity of 1000m of 100lb people braid line.

Even if the line snap you have sufficient line left and no need to worry, it already 3 years and still working find and never been service before.

Difference between forcemaster and beast master is the motor
Forcemaster is single motor driven.

Beast master is duo motor , when no load or no fish it will use hi speed motor. When hook up fish it will automatically switch to high torque motor for fighting.

Depend on the shop you purchase is which dealer, the shop I purchase is a shimano dealer and he offer excellent after sales service. Before buying ask the shop what service they provide , warranty claim and repair is important.

Btw daiwa Seaborg 500j is small for me. Only able to fit in 60lb braid for 300m only , 100plus meter deep if line break you only have 1 more chance, break another time and you out of action for the rest of the trip.......

Think about this 4 or 5 day fishing trip but due to line break you unable to fish for the rest of the trip.........GG

Woww many thanks for your detailed explanation. I have never thought about line snap during trip before. Having high capacity of line surely important in this case.
I will take that into consideration.

Btw may I know which shop are you usually dealing with? Thinking of getting my reel from fishmax tackle klang. Seems like good tackle shop with lot of experience and good after sales service. Have around 3 months before trip to decide.

Imho sliced keli still best for bottom lurkers & live bait with float best for chao praya

So far for the behrang pond i’ve nvr seen anyone using internal organs as bait, but i do rmb seeing some fella using dead toad with sinker shocking.gif

usually i buy my stuff from PJ Ss2 Fishing Fever Angler

also 1 more thing i forget to inform you , shimano forcemaster dont have memory function , cant confirm with beastmaster have or not
all daiwa model have memory function provided you connect back the power supply ASAP

what that mean when you bottom fishing at 300m and if there any chance that power supply was disturb
the reading on the screen will auto reset back to zero, YES ZERO even when you already have 300m line out

there a button to press to retrieve back the previous depth but since the menu is at japanese most dont know how to press
shimano older model all are JDM model , so mostly is japanese wording
only those import from US have english word but the price different is really noticable
that why most store carry JDM model instead

so the power supply on the boat or the battery you bringing yourself is a very important thing !
pls ask if the power supply is stable or not , also pls do ask if the boat have 12v converter or not

since most boat are using 24v current supply , the only electrical reel that can support 24v is Miya epoch (only some model)
so pls dont fry your electrical reel by plugging into 24v , shimano and daiwa use 12v only

some using really cheap converter also can fry you reel , this happen on one of my fishing mate on sabah KK deep sea trip
the boat wiring was old and busted , the deckhand try to repair it in the end it fry his electrical reel on that trip

I believe is TCE Sport, TCE tackle & sport is 2 different company. Tackle is selling the lower cost reels like Ajiking/Okuma.
Anyway TCE Sport already let go of Daiwa dealership and concentrate for their own Seahawk brand.
Daiwa already officially taken back by Daiwa Japan. You can just go to any authorize Daiwa seller around Malaysia for return service.

I love sea fishing but cant afford to take boat, so i mostly beach fishing around PD, sepang, morib. To be honest it is really hard to get fish.

Need some help or advice where I could go for beach fishing that can at least get 1 or 2 big fish, i happy lol

either tce sport or tce tackler i also dont believe ....

one of the reason daiwa take back the dealership is because of the daiwa service quality

long time didnt update. next week i'm going for offshore . took 2 days off so going for 24 hour fishing marathon trip with my buddies via Yan.

if anyone need a tekong good and reliable for Yan,

013-4040984.

fiber boat 20ft. 100+100 twin and space can comfort 6 pax. tight pack 8 pax.
cost, standard pricing. experience 15+ yrs.
bait bring own or jig your own. food bring own , water bring own. ice F.O.C. see tidal if dunno how see, then ask unker boatman. anchor available but not recommended. Yan water deep.

minimum gear 5000+40lb+1/0 + #14. full spool.
recommended gear - tanacom 750 or equavalent + 40lb + #16 + 2/0 or 8000 + 50lb + #16 + 1/0 + 80% spool
bodo gila mantap chi sin gear = tanacom 1000 + #20 + 60lb + #24 + 4/0

jig depend tide. usual same as klang. 180-250gm non flashy non bulu.
sotong unknown. i dun candat and i feel is waste time.

casting use 3" crank for top, duckbill yellow is best.
for soft use paddle tail 5" non bright color. jighead use >40gm.

apolo use >#10
same goes with sabiki but i no use sabiki coz bulu not recomended in Yan.

frozen bait use prawn and kembung.
live bait use anything also can. i not sure, i no use live bait. very geli.
for heroes, use 928+soya+strawberi+nenas or 929+soya+nenas+almond+pandan

i somehow wish can compile all the tekong names and numbers in this tered. but i not TS so cannot edit here n there.

this tekong only do daytrip. i use him for 5 years already.

for 24 hr and 48 hr got another boat but i will only board next week so i dare not reveal here in case no good. later kena tembak like fark if no good.

thats all for now. sekian.
