Went to S24 today instead of Exotic because of low funds but still want to fish.
Quite many ppl at the pond as usual and i brought up 4 Mekongs. Seem like they are stocking these more these days.

My rod actually took a dive lol but luckliy i was using a float so i knew where the rod was and a pakcil helped me to retrieve it back. Another rod which i brought had the ring broken zz.

Good experience but with s24 you need to have the correct bait because their tastebuds change day to day.

sek24 always good fun! Did u have to use anything special for the mekongs or only used the pond's recipe to land them?

It wasnt always “good fun” for me.
The last time i went there using the exact same bait, nothing bit despite sitting for almost 8 hours.
You can imagine my frustration.

Passed by to have a look at Kelana Fishing pond and it was very quiet.
I noticed that the a part if the embankment is now submerged in water.

nice!! but that's a ChaoPhraya from the photo if i'm not mistaken. what bait did you used? they've been stocking up ChaoPhraya alot lately - easy to catch unlike normal Patin or Mekong

exotic is super expensive but if you balance that up with the kind of service that you'll get - worth every penny!

freshwater fishing is mostly on fishing technique + bait used. pandan nenas FTW! glad to see freshwater kolam people in this thread!

this is a YES and NO question

i would say YES IF you offen fish saltwater then yes is good to invest on ceramic bearing
because ceramic bearing would rust , so it will last alot longer then you average stainless steel bearing

NO if you just fish once in a while in saltwater or you wanna upgrade due to certain claim that it will
add you casting range/increase free spool/performance etc.

Hmm I would say night fishing would more productive

Fish will lower their awareness , thus increase catch rate

But it still need to go with correct bait.
24 fish change appetite very fast, and you need prepare
quite alot of different flavors

On that night alone I spend 6kg pallet with 6 different flavors.

Yup, learnt that the hard way last time.
Even when i was there last week, one moment the Chao Phraya’s were taking frozen tilapia and the next thing not at all ended up wasting my rm3 where not even a piece was eaten.

Lucklily i brought other baits though.
How many did you manage to catch?

Chao phraya around 7 - 10 fish
