That's already 18 days for you without being able to play. They really should hurry up with this nonsense. So these units are for the third batch I presume? Since they didn't give you the ones they had for the 2nd batch due to not having any extra?

Wow, many calls later with Sony Malaysia and being told last week "it's with the technician, it is ready early next week" and this week "it's almost ready, it's with the technician", now I all of a sudden get the story again "it's not under Malaysian warranty". Typical customer service, absolutely horrible. Now I have to call the US Sony to get a written confirmation that they should repair it here (they did not want to do it) and then I should wait another 2 to 3 weeks for stocks ... But I am reading above that people are getting new ones already? And the Customer Support Manager told me that Malaysian Playstation 4s some are being fixed on a component level? Is that true? I find it hard to believe ...

I don't even know what batch is this. Now let's see if there's more drama when receiving like:
1. Oh shit got your console wrong, yours is camera bundle but we don't have camera for you.
2. Oh shit this is first batch actually, coz your console is 1st batch.
3. Oh shit we are sorry we missed out your order, please wait another 7-14 working days.
4. Oh shit did you just got another BLOD? We are sorry but please wait again.

Let me tell you, if they say something like not malaysia warranty then you just fu*king ask them:

1. Do you know what is SEA regional warranty.
2. Is my console under SEA regional. You sure it's not? Can you call up PS Asia and use my serial number to check with them, NOW.
3. So you got our stuff fix, may I know which component is broken? I would like to check with international region. Coz as far as I know, there's no spare part and there's no solution yet other than replace. Unless it can be fix through the step by step advised from community.

The ones from Sony Store@Curve, the 20th they had the 1st batch. The 2nd batch was recently last week, when they started calling up the people on the waiting list, etc. The 3rd I presume is the ones arriving in the next few days as they still have 100+ on their waiting list and I'm guessing quite a number with defective consoles. By right, they should have had at least 10-15 consoles ready for exchange but they're a bunch of morons who have no idea how to run a business. They probably only had 1-2 units spare for that purpose and panicked when they found more being returned to their Service Centre. Of course, due to that fact they have excuses

1) Limited stock
2) Sony only gave us this much
3) You're the only one that reported this issue
4) Because it's purchased from SG you'll have to wait 7-14 days (while we try to bring in more)

and whatever else.

Let's hope you get it this week. I'd be pretty pissed if this happened to me.

7 - 14 working days right? How ironic to me that, they've confirmed I'll get replacement on last Monday and told me this 7 - 14 working days. Then today the staff called me saying the same thing. So does my 7-14 working days starting from last week or today? LOL

My console is from US ... So not SEA Regional Warranty but US Call Centre has confirmed that it has International Warranty. Unfortunately, US Call Centre is closed at the moment, sad.gif

If they really do give the excuse you mentioned I guess I will reply in this way to them:

1) Limited stock Are you dumb or fail in maths? Can't you see the amount that you needed to restock?
2) Sony only gave us this much Are you dumb not to report this to SONY or are you keeping to for ur own sale to hit your own KPI and sales target? If yes then I will fail you by complain about your treatment towards customer using social media. Dare me.

bad luck to you then bro. But if US says International then it should be International. You probably need document on this and you need to press US to progress this fast, instead of have you wait for 7-14 days starting the day u submit ur document.

US console can get warranty on malaysia? this is the first time i hear..i doubt sony malaysia will provide any replacement for u without any extra charges apply for it.

Actually, you'd be surprised to know that I received comments 1) and 2) when I asked them about replacement and 1 to 1 exchange when I pre-ordered. They actually said that they have limited stock for Malaysia and SONY wasn't giving them more. Surprising that they wouldn't have enough for ASIA. We're not talking millions here. 1000 units would have been enough for the launch.
