I purchased my PS4 from Chicago, US. Tried to hook it up but it gave me the blue light, Sony US says I have to return it to KLCC or Curve Sony Centre to get it replaced. Warranty should not be an issue according to them. I will go this afternoon and see what Sony Malaysia says.

Repairing fee? Or replacement fee? I have tried all possible "repairs" from all international communities but without any luck. This console is beyond repair.
I'm keen to say what they're going to say. I'm pretty sure, having dealt with Malaysian service centres before, that it is not going to be a smooth ride. However, with a lot of perseverance it usually ends up ok.

I will go this afternoon and see what Sony Malaysia says. Alright! Visited KLCC Sony Store and they took it back without any problems. There was absolutely no issue that I had bought it overseas. Sony was saying on Facebook that they only provided warranty for 7 Asian counties but fortunately Sony Store did provide better service.

QUOTE(inyourheart @ Dec 31 2013, 05:23 PM) So you sent your console there and they replace a new one to you on the spot or what? And do you mind to provide me the FB link you were saying? Noooo, not on the spot unfortunately. They needed their technician to take a look at it and then in 2 to 3 weeks I'd get a replacement (f they can't fix it - which they can't). https://www.facebook.com/SonyMalaysia/posts...153719207855601Is where Sony Malaysia says warranty is not valid for US bought consoles. I had rung up Sony US and they told me warranty was global. On the form I had to fill in at Sony KLCC it even had a box "Purchased Overseas".

Wow, many calls later with Sony Malaysia and being told last week "it's with the technician, it is ready early next week" and this week "it's almost ready, it's with the technician", now I all of a sudden get the story again "it's not under Malaysian warranty". Typical customer service, absolutely horrible. Now I have to call the US Sony to get a written confirmation that they should repair it here (they did not want to do it) and then I should wait another 2 to 3 weeks for stocks ... But I am reading above that people are getting new ones already? And the Customer Support Manager told me that Malaysian Playstation 4s some are being fixed on a component level? Is that true? I find it hard to believe ...

QUOTE(inyourheart @ Jan 7 2014, 04:25 PM) Let me tell you, if they say something like not malaysia warranty then you just fu*king ask them: 1. Do you know what is SEA regional warranty. 2. Is my console under SEA regional. You sure it's not? Can you call up PS Asia and use my serial number to check with them, NOW. 3. So you got our stuff fix, may I know which component is broken? I would like to check with international region. Coz as far as I know, there's no spare part and there's no solution yet other than replace. Unless it can be fix through the step by step advised from community. My console is from US ... So not SEA Regional Warranty but US Call Centre has confirmed that it has International Warranty. Unfortunately, US Call Centre is closed at the moment,
