The picture shown in your link is a standard photo used by Apple.

If you buy a Malaysian set, 100% you will receive the UK/Malaysia-type 3-point plug.

If you didn't receive such a plug, than your set is most likely not an official Malaysian set.

Thanks for the reply..

Even at the official apple for malaysia shows what is the box, the US one as you puts it.
Just wondering whether that means everyone needs to buy an adapter?

I bought mine way back in end 2014 and it came with the standard 3 pin. I am surprised if a local distributor here sells you a non malaysian set?!?

ughh had a very bad apple day yesterday... my iphone 6s suddenly freeze with a blurred screen, had to force restart and half of my contacts went missing... even icloud seems to only have my very very old contacts although i've already on contacts sync with icloud...

just after that my MBPr 13" suddenly have the horizontal jagged colour lines and froze! Restarted dozen times and it'll either get stuck/hang 1 min after going back to the main screen, or even while booting up in the middle of the apple logo. There's no spinning wheel freeze, you can't even see the mouse cursor. Totally hanged...

For now it seems okay, but i have a feeling if i restart the MBPr it'll start to hang again..

Maybe he bought used set, online or from non-authorised resellers. But no issues anyway. Apart from the plug, there's virtually no other difference. Even warranty for non-Malaysian sets can be claimed in Malaysian Apple service centres.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that mate.

Are you going to proceed with claiming warranty for the MBPr 13"?

As for the 6S issue, so far never faced such issue with my contacts, but then again my contacts are synchronised with Google and not iCloud.

Well, if thats the case its ok. If it was me, as I bought here in M'sia, I would want a 'Malaysian Local set'. Its more desirable that way IMHO. Same case with a iPhone, those which are local set can demand higher resale value than those came in APs or overseas grey imports....

It is not too bad given that MacBook is never known as a gaming laptop. The performance of the integrated Intel Iris graphic card is really not bad.

Dota 2 is totally playable on MBP.

There is such thing as hdmi splitter but normally those are the accessories without brand one.

RAM can not upgraded SSD can but very troublesome process to upgrade it. It is good to go with the correct size of sad u need in the first place then try to upgrade later or buy all sort of external storage to compensate it it is waste of money and time.

If u buying the 15-inch model then no need to upgrade rite as it is already 16gb and u cannot upgrade it anyway as it is max already.

256 is the minimum req which it at least give sufficient space for running boot camp etc.

It is good to have especially if budget permits.
