Here's how my layout looks like..I might need to put the front l/r down instead of hanging if I would to change them

Small cube speakers is not enough fill up wide space. Really cannot expect much

QUOTE(LeChuCk @ Oct 16 2015, 10:00 AM) Might have a problem there as the fronts are mounted on the TV panel and I don't want to do any modifications to move the wiring if I get bookshelf speakers. Anyway, what do you mean by harmonized sound? Do you mean better staging and balance between both fronts and center? i got single piece spare speaker, ae aego-t u want to borrow ma? |

QUOTE(skeelee @ Oct 16 2015, 10:40 AM) Your problem could be due to different height of the centre from the other 2 fronts. Try to tilt the centre up to point at you (at listening position) directly to see if it makes any difference. Unfortunately the center is already directly pointed to me and the L/R is placed higher but angled downwards..QUOTE(sonerin @ Oct 17 2015, 04:53 AM) Yeah, I also think so..sometimes can hear the speakers sound strained as well..looks like time to change themQUOTE(ktek @ Oct 17 2015, 02:47 PM) The Aego is also a cube compact speaker right? I am looking for a bigger driver speaker for my next upgrade. Thanks for the offer though. This post has been edited by LeChuCk: Oct 19 2015, 09:10 AM |

QUOTE(ktek @ Oct 19 2015, 05:26 PM) my recommendation is minimum 5.25" driver to produce wide coverage of front stage & mid frequency you are right..currently my BA is only 1 1/2 drivers which sounds tiny..I hear that the much recommended Boston Acoustics A25 L/R/C is pretty good, anyone tried them before? They are bigger at 5 1/4" driversgoing from aego t (single 4") to kef q200c (2x5") make me realise that i have wasted the av receiver capability |
