Anyone here using Triad,Seaton or Jtr speaker systems for ht?
Today demoed Adam Gtc systems...wow,it brings new level of ht experience for me,the sounds are more dynamic, more airy, more detail be it movies or concerts and like i said b4,it brings a new dimension for my ht experience so far.
Yes, it has a boring looks compare with other 'commercial speaker' that i used to but if i want to start all over again this kind of speaker will be my choice .

QUOTE(sonerin @ Sep 18 2015, 07:14 AM) It's like the JBL cinema speaker. As you already said is not a good looking speaker. Mainly this kind of speaker is hidden from view in cinema. Unless you don't mind the look or you really need to hide behind the screen or some where else Yes,you are right. To get the best result for LCR is using three identical speakers and hide it behind the screen( perforated fabric ).

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Sep 18 2015, 11:06 AM) Its great for multichannel music too = identical LCRs but I tink for HT - same range is alrdy veri gud [ unless you got a 'golden ear' ] Acoustically transparent screens are very expensive and normally for Home use is not recommended [l guess if you hav de funds then tis is moot ] besides if you dont have de room and sit too close , de perforation can be visible ; unlike de profesional theater which has its first seats about 10 feet from d screen.. D yes, thats the problem..i need donation and i need bigger room

QUOTE(paskal @ Feb 9 2016, 10:36 AM) At that level of performance, dts:x will be the de-facto standard and people will forget all about atmos. Just like dtshdma and truehd. Pity all those people who adopted atmos system that cant be upgraded to decode dts:x. They'll be forced I mean poisoned to sell off their atmos hehe And not to forget..with dts + neural x and dolby+ dsu one can enjoy watching old movies with immersive sounds, just done watching Lord Of The Rings Trilogy..really impressive P/s : Tq bro for drop by and done rew setting plus shifting my subs..really appriciate This post has been edited by sherr127: Feb 9 2016, 08:34 PM

QUOTE(skeelee @ Feb 15 2016, 03:48 PM) So there's no decently priced AVR that can do 7.1.4 or 7.2.4 on the market yet? Need at least 13 processed channels, and 7 powered channels will do. Hands itchy already, with the recent bonus. If u only got 1 sub,i will recommend yamaha 3050.For dual subs i highly recommend Denon 7200wa or Marantz 7010. You can get all those below 10k if u know where to find.

room correction is not enough,u need spl meter to check and adjust level for every speakers and subs after calibration. If u are really serious about good sound, buy umik 1 mic and learn REW,the improvement is huge.

That one is the old model passive captivator with one driver, this beast loaded with 2 18" driver and 4000w of power...if u bring it,i want to be the first person who own it..hehe

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 1 2016, 10:46 PM) That's unfortunate. Rythmik has some great subs too. I've tested Rythmik FV15hp in my room to compare with my Pb13u.It goes lower but mid bass is very weak, not even reaching my belly..

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 2 2016, 03:01 PM) Uh don't agree. There are great subs from other ID companies like PSA and Hsu too. It's a matter of choices. They are sold at completely different price points, so I think that is a little unfair comparison no? Mid bass being weak is odd though. In an open ground plane measurement, the fv15hp isn't that far off the PB13u at 50hz and up. About price,i got my pb13u last 2 years with same price as fv15hp now..hehe Yes,i read the data, thats why i want to give it a test..maybe it needs proper placement/tuning,i tested it for 2 days only This post has been edited by sherr127: Aug 2 2016, 06:37 PM

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 2 2016, 06:57 PM) SVS isn't the best valued sub maker in the US unfortunately, even if they do have the best customer support. If you want pure power from an ID company, PSA takes the crown. Besides, the founder of PSA was also the co-founder for SVS. Agreed with Ben here. For the same price as PB13u,one can get JTR S1,Captivator 1400,Seaton F18,Psa V3600,S3600 and Reaction Audio Gamma 21..and its outperformed PB13u in every hz for almost twice!
