One more thing abt having identical spkrs for all channels is its great for multichannel music - I mean for those into this..
I dont tink hvng floorstanders as surrs are a disadvantage, especially if you have got space.. n de budget.. I guess , minimum is a decent bkshlv instead of satts [ even if its mostly for efx only - abt 10% use.. maybe ]

For me the absolute size was very important, so I needed something that could deliver a lot of power into the driver.  At the time (1999) this was really the only option out there.  At 2700w it was definitely the most powerful subwoofer of its size, and one of the most powerful in the consumer market.  Velodyne had some really nice ones as well that I auditioned, but the Sunfire was the baddest of them all.  I actually recently bought a Velodyne Minivee, but it did not have the power I needed, so it is sitting in storage waiting to be sold.
ChiNO,

So I take it size is the deciding factor? Ie, a small footprint? From my experience in AV, in order to get any 'real' output below 30hz, the bigger the better. And multiples are better as well for bass smoothing.

Bro, the LV12S is on promo now. Considerably lower than that.

dear sifu sifu.....

since the past few days until now am kinda free due to long weekends....
been reading this HDMI cables over and over

conflicting reviews and story....so i wan't to hear from those here

like i've mentioned before......Oppo 105D as the source
LX86 pioneer amp

sony VPL-HW50ES/B projector with a screen size probably 130" to 150"

i read about some technical write ups saying as long as the throughput test comply with 1.4 (example), between company A and B, there is no difference.

then comes the cable specialist that says their 1.4 hdmi is better than the rest......

i plan to use a 10m to 15m hdmi cable from the pioneer amp to the projector.

what's your opinion?

Get a good shielded hdmi for that length. Preferably individually shielded strands. High speed data transmission is no joke. Higher signal integrity, higher snr margin, less transmission error, less retransmission.

Just don't go overboard with overpriced, audiophile grade voodoo cables.

I'm using the HDMI cable below for my projector and it works fine with SD till 1080p content but i'm not sure with the 3D and 1.4v cable is true or not.

I get mine from Monoprice.com. Thus far, it did not fail for all 3D projectors.

looks like a generic hdmi cable. generic as in imported from china and slapped own branding.

absolutely no problem with short distance transmission. but 10-15 meters doesn't classify as short anymore. some people can't see a difference, some do. i did, on a side-by-side cable swap.

i'd put my trust on bluejeans or monoprice cables for any long range transmission.
