years of owning a sedan, there are many cases i wished i had an mpv
mpv is a wise choice.there will come a time u wished hadn't bought a sedan
especially now with my cycling activities, 6 persons and 6 bikes no problem. or fancy buying that big ikea stuff? no problem

A good SA is very important, if you all want i can intro you mine, within 2 weeks done from loan to delivery. PBB 2.93%.

To own a MPV with 60k , except alza dont have any other choice. My supports on alza are below:
1) Cheap and big space
2) Cant found any new mpv in this price
3) 3yrs free engine oil and labour charge
4) 5 yrs dabao still got buyers, not a cold market car
5) Service fee cheap
6) Minor issue every car sure got even a Alphard - rattiling sound same sure got for mpv.
7) FC is more than myvi just abit more not significant like Forte or RIO.
8) Tall and very good visibility. Not like Forte and Rio, i'm sinking inside when drive poor visiblity and many blind spot.

My Cons on Alza:
1) Rattling sound from behind, need time find out but i'm lazy so i can tahan, still new not prominent the sound.
2) Brake pad is poor, brake press height level can be adjusted.
3) Bumpy absorber - change better absorber when is kong
4) Stock tyre less grip and noisy
5) Alternator kick in too frequent, light dim when it kick in.
5) Still finding.......

Engine performance:
0-5000km -  Lack of power can be felt. After 2nd oil change, smooth and responsive.

NVH:
Better than previous gen alza due to added sound insulator for this new facelift alza. Engine sound 3K above sound only start noticeable.

Conclusion: Still the same, i buy this car is because of price and worthiness. Alza SE Ivory White owner 3 months here is recommended for a buy. Previous car: 1st Myvi, 2nd Forte, current Alza. Hope my review can help you all. smile.gif

hi guys, if really want to buy ALZA, which variant do u guys suggest?
SA advice me if don't require leather seat, can get either standard or SE and install the ICE system from accessories shop. He recommend the covex 9 inches HU.

what's the big different between 3 variant?

Standard vs SE = huge different inside out....

SE vs AV = outside only rear emblem different, inside SE no leather seat, no multimedia player + roof monitor, no reverse camera, no retractable side mirror. Thats all i guess.

Btw, cancel my alza booking ad, instead booked a suprima S with 5k discount....

In terms of safety, yes suprima so much better. Abs, ebd, ba, ha, tc, esc, 6airbags....80k price tags for that safety its worth.

Vios all range only have 2airbags, abs, ebd
City only highest v spec got 6airbags, traction control
Altis all range same like vios, unless u buy altis 2.0v + safety package then it'll equipped with traction control n 6airbags.

But as u know its proton, SC will be my 2nd home after this...

It is good that you made up your mind for the new car. We all wishing all of safe journey and less 'headache' for every car we owned.

Suprima is good for all round package, just that it is proton which failed many owners, including me.

As long as Suprima serves you well for years to come. rclxms.gif

I owned a kancil turbo, and current kancil was the 5th kancil I owned since 2003 im in a kcar scene...

Test drive a suprima and i expect a g-force....No, theres no gforce and cant hear the turbo spooling, and its maybe they called it soft-turbo..Feel more like driving a big cc car. But testdrive with hugeman (the SA), me, wife and a kid, suprima done acceleration effortless at low rpm (below 2500rpm).

Hope the car not giving me so much headache....If turbo kong, then give a way to conventional turbo, easy to repair, so much repair kit in market....

True.....scared most on cvt not the turbo.... Hehehehe..

Maybe dats why perodua stick to 4sp mech gearbox... Not say its 100% prob-free, but the risk to fail should be lower i think...

Perodua should at least source a 5sp AT for the Alza and MyVi... 4sp is ancient considering most manufacturers are into 5 or even 6sp

isn't only void the warranty for audio system?
but then the convex or many third party OEM is plug n play without wire cut, if anything happen to speaker can change it back to original HU before go back to SC for claim.
