where do  you get the StP product? how does it work? foam spray or 3m sticker?
*
StP is good product. I am using the supplier for Kia as he is my friend.

I just applied entry level pads to all 4 doors. Total estimated needed about 24 pcs for all 4 doors. the balance I use for the rear boot.

Cost me about RM250-280. DIY as it is self adhesive.

I stop going for the next level as it is good enough for me.

Yes. it can.  I drove few rounds to Genting with 3 to 5 ppl before with luggages.  It is fine. Down hill also no problem.

Get familiar with your alza and of course the road condition before going up genting.

BTW, I have changed the extractor to hotbits. which is better response.

rest the car when you up to the top. Keep engine running idling for at least 1 minute before shutting down.  Let it cool down.

When down hill, please dont follow too near to the car in front. Also, break-in brake pads is needed (no recommend to go up genting on 1st day of new car).

Drive safe all !

Don't go with a brand new car with brand new brake pads.
Run-in the car for at least 1000km, for the brake pads to work well with brake discs.

New pads sometimes need to break in first. Meaning after some 50-100km (example), the pads are 'grinded' and ready to work. Layman terms.

It will get better grip in braking after some mileage.

You can try with the 'Alza Comfort Package' from Perodua SC. They use 6mm closed cell mat inside the door, and another layer underneath the door trim. Total 2 layer. Now on discount, until tomorrow 22nd.

Also, can tambah the engine bay insulator, RM90+, also after discount.

Kieferhotbits extractor, does your exhaust fume smell funny now?

I changed extractor for my Kenari too, 3-1 type, and enjoying it. Though I'm thinking to get my exhaust shop to put the stock cat back on the mid pipe, after the extractor. FC without the extractor improved a bit, now on 2nd tank petrol and see how it goes... need to track again after the major service.

Long time I did not visit the Perodua SC. Will go have a look of the bay insulator.

Ya.. some smell from exhaust though, but I like the better push when needed. But the hotbits now getting thinner pipes compared to before.

Yes, FC is better with cat-con I foresee, but it can be also due to my feet as I tent to have heavier feet after changing the extractor due to easier to get higher RPMs.

I feels like getting a 2nd layer done by using the material from my friend, but no la... no time plus need to get some paint job done due to slight accident few weeks ago.

so advisable to go up by alza?  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

7 person with new alza?? you must need to rev very high rpm, by the time you release the pedal and press again, you will yelling come on alza, your body is facing upward but the car is like turtle. Downhill?? if stock brake pad and 7 person , you will need some technique dont overheat the pad or else danger. Low you gear, alza comes with auto drop your gear when downhill. It will activate when you brake in downhill, you will see your gear drop auto. Silverstone M5 tyre, go genting check whether, if raining pump your tyre 32 psi, no rain 33 psi. Low psi better grip and brake but laggy, high psi better power and responsive but due to tyre noob it will less grip on road when brake.

Sorry 4 my bad english, i'll try make dis easier to understand.

Paddle to throttle body = throttle cable
Throttle body to gbox = kick-down cable

So this is how alza/viva gbox sense the throttle opening... By default (my current viva), i have to step almost to floor so the gbox will downshift the gear. By adjust (pulling abit) dis cable, the gearbox will drop gear earlier, then u will see ur car accelerate better...From standstill, it will hold every gear longer b4 shift to upper gear....

Adjusting the cable is depend on ur preference. Now if im cruising at 70km/h at 4th gear, i need to step half pedal so the gear automatically shifting down to 3rd gear....giving me higher revv, better torque to overtake other cars....

Paperclip and Alexei,

Thanks for the sharing kick-down cable, now i am understand. Based on your explanation, it is important to me because i overtake and climb hill slow if 4 person.

Ok, now how i gonna start this pulling cable?
1) Any colour or what to indicate this particular cable? How is the lock nut looks like?
2) Can i set it to default if i found it not suit me?

Sorry man noob in this area.
