any idea what is the labour cost to remove tint from car rear windscreen?
*
Usually about RM80 for whole car and none would garantee demister would not be damaged. If you tint rear windscreen, they would likely do it FOC for you.

i went for rhinepro diamond rm3300 for whole car with some other additional services. its not the cheapest quoted dealer tho, can find cheaper. The black beauty plus was quoted at rm2200-2600. the diamond is the highest offering from the brand so just decided to try out.

Black beauty series is not that dark! it's a kind of blueish! but the pricing is quite competitive.

Any idea if their tint is ok ?

Been using it since 2020 till now. Still not degraded yet, and mostly test it at Legoland Johor open car park, it still not make my leather seat really hot even park there from morning to evening, 3pm time. Best bang for money considering the spec (IRR, TSER and verified via meter when install)

I used to have Vkool and Rhpro for tint but as time pass i thought the industry sort of just advance. But then still sceptical on those sub 1k tint. Only TG here offers not bad for the specs?

I have my bias in metallic-based tints that are not so common in the market. They are some cheap one BUT for me, a good metallic based tints used high quality metallic sputters and those don't come cheap. So my preference would have been

1. VKool Elite, 55, 35, etc, very durable and lasting. Excellent heat rejection but as you noted, the price shoot so high that I cannot afford it anymore. It is worth the extra bucks if you are rich tho...IMO.

2. 3M Crystalline for clear tint but got 1 great weakness that I cannot accept. Smart tag....that I need to pass multiple each days.Yeah, I have RFID but those tolls in Kesas, some RFID very long queue or worse, someone got stuck inside have to reverse. So no smart tag, no go for me. Other than that, it would have be in my preference if I go for clear tints. Like VKool, there are a lot of fakes out there tho...some got cheated fake and complain 3M not working as it should be, so watch out and go for trusted installer if you go for this.

3. Irispro....why, coz I looking for VKool replacement at lower pricing. Metallic based tints. Local homegrown company tho with multple main branches in key cities. This one has about 3/5 of the price of VKool. Worked excellent in heat rejection and coloring. Just a bit thick and have slight white haze under certain sunlight angle. Loves the heat rejection tho as I have expected (or above my initial expectation). Surprisingly VLT 30 at rear is dim but not dark (bright enuf to avoid phobia)...Like the dim slight bluish purplish lighting in the car. Very nice. Pricy tho if you compare with other ceramic-based tints but for metallic-based tints and extra features they have, it should be on par with other premium tints. Metallic based tints with good metals are usually higher pricing than ceramic. Metal sputter cost more money to produce..hehe. Smart tag friendly similar to VKool.

4. Raytech is also a good brand, ceramic-based tint. Quite pricey tho vs other brands. However their highest range Ultra 70 for fws not smart tag friendly. So out it goes for my preference. Their 2nd range tho is smart tag friendly but I always prefer maximum heat rejection for clear or near clear tints.

Others, I can't comment coz no experience in them. Skip surveying them in-depth coz not metallic-based tint due to my preference.

Thanks bro for the detailed review. Based on your inputs, pulled the trigger and went to Ms. LL to fix the Diamond DX at Puchong branch. Like you mentioned, price around 3k to 3.5k depending on your type of car.

60 VLT - FWS, Front sides
30 VLT - Rear sides and rear window
silver reflective on sunroof

Takes about 4 hours to fix and 5 days to cure. So do pasang your tints first before dashcam!

P/S - Ms. LL really takes the time to promote IRISpro advantages. No hard sell. Patient and answers all questions with sincerity. smile.gif

Went to tint my car with Totalgard, price is super affordable! Just tinted for few days.
Service was superb and fast. Maybe post CNY less people.

It does reduce the heat from sun a lot! for this few days of use.
no visible imperfections la so far.

My recommend is to go for their Basic one will do, Ceramic IR, 50% straight for front and side. Back get at least 90%.

Durability yet to know but its good they offer 10 years warranty should the IRR drop more than 10%.

Was really surprised by the price. THought of needed to spend 2k but ended up spending less than 1k.

And! the glass doesn't feel hot when i touch it from inside. The IRR100% is functioning I guess.

Same, installed with them back in 2020. Mine was Infusion Pro Series, less than rm1k back then, now price up already for that model. Best value for money

Originally I wanted to install Infusion Pro also. The sales guy said Infusion Pro is good in heat rejection, but a bit lesser in heat dissipation.
Not sure why the sales recommended me the cheaper one lol... but no regret la since the price is almost 3x cheaper
