It seems theres no sweet spot for tinted eh?

After reading few pages seems like some have done llumar and hamel here as heavily advertised in socmed. Or the go to person here is dog999

Buy those who can cover degradation warranty for at least 5 years.

Any shops that cover that in selangor?

I think asking around rarely do that

Yeah they are tint manufacturer mostly for buildings. They do sell to tint shops but not marketed under their own brand. The installation is done by a third party guy who also comes to their factory premises. Some expansion/ promotion plans underway for their car tints soon.

Their Infusion Pro series is a lower mid range under 1K pricing with pretty good specs with a brownish hue, not as clear as Vkool 3M ranges though.
*
oh no wonder

i guess thats the one most people take here? infusion have no issue with gps/smarttag?

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 21 2021, 09:10 PM)
I think the difference is the IRR %. And the price is same if directly to the factory as shopee.

Using their infusion pro now on x70 with sunroof. The tint heat rejection is good and not feel like cheap tint. I guess similar to my other car with rm2k wingard tint I installed 6 years ago.
*
sunroof need add how much? my incoming x50 also got....

so my car is basement parked and only out when im out so... still thinking should just get normal one or get the higher range infusion unsure.gif

I just installed Totalgard Ceramic Plus series 2 weeks back and this series will not have issue with smart tag. SA advised for Infusion series; need to wind down the window for smart tag.

Only down side is their installation environment is not air cond but just under the shade. This was also mentioned by another forumer. Overall their Ceramic Plus series is still value for money with various VLT to choose from.

thanks and noted

i guess will check it out notworthy.gif

No issues on car gps or hp waze. But smart tag not gonna work as been told due to high % of irr. Was told if 90% IRR might work for that, but i take 99% IRR.

I paid rm900 including sunroof. Was told it is a promo price last  September
*
hmm i guess its worth the trade off...

now promo ceramic 450 + 200 for sunroof, which is almost top up abit can get infusion

Anyone use this? Seems like i didnt get anywhere with research.

I used to have Vkool and Rhpro for tint but as time pass i thought the industry sort of just advance. But then still sceptical on those sub 1k tint. Only TG here offers not bad for the specs?

Sputtering from m8 under 1k
Hamel 2k below
Vogth under 1k
So not sure these tint in longetivity

Went to tint my car with Totalgard, price is super affordable! Just tinted for few days.
Service was superb and fast. Maybe post CNY less people.

It does reduce the heat from sun a lot! for this few days of use.
no visible imperfections la so far.

My recommend is to go for their Basic one will do, Ceramic IR, 50% straight for front and side. Back get at least 90%.

Durability yet to know but its good they offer 10 years warranty should the IRR drop more than 10%.

Was really surprised by the price. THought of needed to spend 2k but ended up spending less than 1k.

And! the glass doesn't feel hot when i touch it from inside. The IRR100% is functioning I guess.

thanks bro, cant wait to get my car then. i thought about the higher tier ones but mcm minimal diff from paper specs alone. but cool, will look at it at their shop

Any recommendations of brands that does both for mid level tints + ppf (full front) ?
Anyone here did tinting and ppf separately ?
Thank you

Not sure if Blueshield tint is mid level or not. But tesla porsche etc owners have been going there. Got my quote twice for 2 diff cars and the price is competitive. They do tint ppf coating in one invoice quoted. Pm for the boss contact.

Not promoting but he just follow up and a nice chat sometime plus i havent do it with them haha

I also doing survey now. will get my new car soon (vios).
Really headache as still not sure which one i should choose.

so far survey 5 shops:
m pro tinted at puchong - rm2040 (after discount) for multi-layer sputtered film (IRR 99%. Royal Series);
care kool at puchong - rm2600 for multi-layer sputtered film (IRR 96%);
vkool/llumar (same boss) at OKL - rm3xxx (IRR 95~97%)
raytech at OKL - RM3500 (after discount) for RX
shield smith at OKL - RM2800 (multi-layer sputtered - IRR 97%) or rm1800 (mix nano-ceramic + sputtered, IRR 95%)
3M - no survey yet.
Toyota got provide tinted but only normal tinted and come with RFID on windscreen.
So means if i choose multi-layer sputtered, i have to tear off the RFID and buy a new 1 to stick on headlight or what.

I need sifus here advise, i should go for 3M nano-ceramic (non-metalized based) OR multi-layer sputtered (so can get highest hot reflection) OR mix (nano-ceramic + sputtered, but RFID and smart-tag still detectable)?????

2nd question, should i request the shop tear-off ALL the original tinted from Toyota (only remain rear windscreen tinted)?
