Faded? The heat rejection sure also like this
*
Yep but the heat rejection loss not that bad la. It's pretty clear now in terms of tint shade, but heat rejection wise definitely not as bad as not having tint. That I can confirm because my car had no tint initially. I drove without tint for a year and I remember vividly how hot the car is without tint. The cabin is never cool, only local areas where the aircond is blowing. When open door, the gust from outside is cooler. And the sunrays, it burns the skin. Am not feeling all of these currently.

Used rhinepro for almost 4 years. Cheap (got mine done for less than 1k)

Pros:
Good heat rejection, felt really cooling
My shop got quite good workmanship, no bubbles up till now
Cheap

Cons:
The 70vlt had a blue tint that i didn't like. Obstruct visibility during rain. I went back to shop, they say they never had anyone complain this issue. But nevertheless willing to redo for me. Since they say tint no issue, i also dun doubt them, i jz retint to 50%vlt (since all other windows are fine.) Not jpj compliant but ok la, better than poor visibility during rain (strong light dispersion)
Color fade really quickly. Mine is almost illegal type of dark esp at night. In 2 years, faded a lot. In 4 years, almost completely gone d
Heat rejection also will decrease, but not by alot. Maybe about 20-30% after 4 years.

Concur on the pros. BB very good heat rejection.
Driving in peak afternoon still feeling cool at 25° aircon.

When you wind down the window or open door, the gust of heats all coming in.
That's when you know you're in a good tint.

I'm just 3months in, no comment on the faded part yet.

Usually the branded one will not faded or less likely faded at 2 years usage. Is it Dye-based film? If it yes than it is norm to faded. A ceramic and metallic based will last longer, iinm

Rhinepro diamond 11 user here. Almost 3 years and counting. So far so good but pricey. Warranty is 7 years though. Will see how long it last.

Suggest u check the detail in the warranty certificate. Believe warranty is applicable to certain percentage of faded and lost of heat rejection but can’t remember exact. Could be different for bb or other series though.

U need to verify via meter. Lets say when new is 95% IRR, what is current now. Then know the degradation how much

Yea just checked, need >50% vlt degradation to qualify for warranty claim. I feel I got >50% degradation le. But I no meter. The receipt says 7 year warranty for color.
Apparently I did mine for 1050 back in 2019

In that case just bring over to the authorised dealer. They have the tool/meter to check.

U meant 40 vlt? It depends on the type of tint u’ll be using. For mine, done 40 for FWS and the rest 20. Still pretty bright daytime for 40 and not dark at all at night.

Suggest u drop by the showroom. U can see the difference before and after tint effect and from the inside out then decide.
