QUOTE(mushigen @ Mar 6 2021, 11:35 AM) Never heard of this brand. I'm having Crystalline on my car and I'm loving it. Thanks for the feedback mate. Too long a warranty usually rings my alarm bell. Just like tilam with its 10~15-year-warranty, you might want to read its T&C. A quick google shows the film do origin from USA. Well that checks out. Was given a demonstration at the shop and the heat rejection was pretty good. The only thing that bothers me from getting it right now is the unknown of how long the film will last albeit the longer than usual duration of warranty given. Degradation of heat rejection yearly is covered in the warranty too. Will look into detail of the T&C of the warranty before decide later. |

QUOTE(mushigen @ Mar 6 2021, 07:01 PM) Like a tilam i purchased, a "sinking" of less than 5cm is not considered defective. Degradation of 3-5% on heat rejection per year is covered under warranty. Wonder how the rest of the films like 3m, llumar and etc performing out there. And I believe all films will degrade with time just have no idea on the ‘quantum of degradation’ to heat rejection yearly. Previously experienced before vkool elite and solar gard. Premium price but film degraded too to the extent after around 7 years, the heat rejection is like barely noticeable. Even if defective, for first year they will repair foc but customer pays for transportation iirc. How much they charge for transportation is anyone's guess. Anything over one year, they charge you 10% of retail price per year, on top of transportation. I ended up buying a new tilam to replace this tilam which started sinking after 3 years. Case point is if this film will last as good as any other premium films out there for at least 5 years with lesser price, I’m sold. Ain’t expecting the film to last 10-15 years anyway haha. Using kingkoil tilam here, with 10 years warranty so far so good, no sinking of whatsoever after 4 years haha(off topic lol). |

QUOTE(fong5859 @ Mar 22 2021, 03:58 PM) Would like to know about this info also. Want to see what is the warranty coverage offered by those branded tint company. If got bubble or wavy pattern then can easily claim because it can be seen physically. But those degradation that is only detectable by meter, got promise how many % degradation after certain period? Taken rhinepro diamond 11 here after some survey. Warranty cover degradation as well. Can check yearly basis with their meter on heat degradation i.e. uv, irr and tser, free replacement if substantial drop found. So far so good. This post has been edited by kirakun: Mar 31 2021, 02:06 PM |

QUOTE(I'm V-Kool @ Apr 6 2021, 09:42 PM) That seem to be a little extreme resort lol. Anyway don't think the demister is of great importance though. Frankly speaking, almost never needed to turn on the demister in all my cars for the past i'll say more than 20 years of driving. If my memory served me still, the last time i turned on the demister was when i drove a nissan sunny during rainy day at wee hours of the morning and the AC wasn't cold enough causing mist all over the windows. Since then never faced such issue on newer cars hence almost forgot there is a demister in the car . |

QUOTE(tctham @ Feb 27 2023, 05:19 PM) then lemme try and see if i can claim a new set of tint. lol Suggest u check the detail in the warranty certificate. Believe warranty is applicable to certain percentage of faded and lost of heat rejection but can’t remember exact. Could be different for bb or other series though.my only gripe now is very bright. I just drove out today in the blistering hot sun, the car still feels cool, just feels too bright. This post has been edited by kirakun: Feb 27 2023, 05:58 PM |

QUOTE(tctham @ Feb 28 2023, 12:16 AM) Yea just checked, need >50% vlt degradation to qualify for warranty claim. I feel I got >50% degradation le. But I no meter. The receipt says 7 year warranty for color. In that case just bring over to the authorised dealer. They have the tool/meter to check.Apparently I did mine for 1050 back in 2019 |

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Feb 28 2023, 11:21 AM) any idea on the 40 cat? will it be too dark. looking on behalf of my niece for her new Hrv. interior is dark though. U meant 40 vlt? It depends on the type of tint u’ll be using. For mine, done 40 for FWS and the rest 20. Still pretty bright daytime for 40 and not dark at all at night. Suggest u drop by the showroom. U can see the difference before and after tint effect and from the inside out then decide. |

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Feb 28 2023, 12:52 PM) thanks for the heads up. will go check out for her. ya...40 VLT. so diamond 11 series is the most atas range for this brand? Apparently diamond 11 is the highest series for Rhinepro for now. Do google it, they have their own website. When I bought it, it was cheaper compared to 3M crystalline series needless to say vkool. Not too sure about the pricing now.Not gonna say it’s better than vkool or 3m but I think it’s comparable quality wise. Take your time to survey, and I think there is a forumer here with nick “dog something” who may be able to give better price for 3m tints if u are looking for one. |

QUOTE(j88j @ Mar 1 2023, 01:26 AM) wat brand u using? im using VLT 35 for FWS and VLT 20 for the rest (cap ayam brand promotion on FB), too dark for me when raining or night time without street lamp, feeling unsafe. QUOTE(kirakun @ Feb 27 2023, 04:23 PM) |

QUOTE(pikafaded @ Mar 28 2023, 02:43 PM) What's the odd of facing JPJ roadblock with dark window tint that will kena saman? Is it worth to take the risk? Dark tint? Sure kena at JPJ roadblock. As for police roadblock, the odds are better and usually they only stop cars with tint where u can’t see the driver from outside. |

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Mar 30 2023, 10:05 AM) for police rb, usually just open windows b4 meet the officer etc. most they check are the roadtax last time. or car number if speeding check Saw quite a few dark tints all around kena at police roadblocks. Open windows are useless when the FWS and RWS are also dark. |

QUOTE(jeffchuaa @ Jan 5 2024, 11:45 PM) one of my household car tint also warranty 10 years,3 years after the tint faded until like no tint, last year went back for a warranty claim, turns out they were permanently closed a year after my tint was installed, not cheap cost me RM1.3k for the tint, couldn't find any other branch or place carry the same brand. Never trust those tint with long years of warranty especially the cap ayam ones. Mine with warranty 5 years but like yours after around 3 years tint faded a lot. Luckily the shop still around and got them to replace all FOC. Now started to fade again after another 3 years but warranty is over so will have to replace again own cost in another year or 2. |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Jan 27 2024, 04:06 PM) Quick one. Let say if doing the whole car with V-kool Elite, and then sticking 2nd layer of cheap but darker tint on the sides and rear windscreens, it won't affect the heat rejecting performance of the vehicle but improve it slightly more right? Not advisable coz high chances of cheap tint gone bad plus much shorter tint lifespan on cheap tint. Then you have to remove both layer of tints to replace.Any advice appreciated. |
